after exploring blather a bit i am getting the idea i am not one of the only young blatheres, excluding people i know personally. how old are you? (cool idea. if everybody puts many down slashes to visually indicate their age, it will be much easier)(watch me get no replies to this post...) 15 |||||||||||||||

could it be that this generation uses the internet more, or is it the eagerness of teenagers to express their most fleeting emotions in highly personalized symbols, that is to take part in social exercises where they can find identity in a safe forum? or is it that they're the only ones with the time and the energy to build these sand castles, not being jaded or chained to obligations they feel responsible for or personally attached to. or maybe just maybe....

far too too young. only 15. i like to think i act a bit older. bc when i think of 15 year olds, i think of little girls who still need to grow up. but then really, whats so wrong with being 15 phil? im glad you feel 15. its a good age. if i was older though, this would all be easier. i used to get mad at my brother bc i always wanted to catch up with him and his age. 3 years older but always kept growing and i thought it was his fault that he did it on purpose. even if he did, who could blame him?

the legal drinking age in australia is eighteen?!!?!? i drank as a teenager, so waiting until i was 21 wasn't a big deal, but in canada, some places, the kids can drink at 18. where i am they have to be 19. they're all doing it anyway too young or not. i say, if you can assume the responsibility of choosing a leader in your country, signing documents which leave you responsible for owing money, driving a vehicle or owning aproperty - the least of the governments worries should be about who's getting pissed drunk tonight...

just trying to figure out how to point out hypocrisy without calling it hypocrisy... oops... i agree with the point sylver makes, but when you insult anyone else who might do something that you then proceed to do, make sure you can keep me off your cake, or i'll eat it. ("what? who the hell is in the control room??? send bob up there stat!") and i agree, much better question, but i think all questions of this nature boil down to a greater purpose, the licking of brains... each little factoid is another pinkgrey ripple... another piece comes into focus. and another thing, i personally, now this is me, nobody else should feel this way just because i do, but #1, whenever someone says they are pushing 500, i think of all the little idiot vampire shits who try to be ohsoeldritch and just come off as pompous asses, and people who try to stretch their experiences to larger proportions rather than being honest with what they have and being open to learning about or collecting more... and spelling it "sylver" just makes my stomach turn all the harder for the pompous vampyre wannabe shits... not saying that sylver is one... just explaining why it was so damn difficult for me to be nice... which of course i just blew... but shit, that's my fucking opinoin and first impression (and mine alone darlings), brutal_honesty and all that. if something is beautiful i'll call it so, but if something smells like shit, well, dammit i'm trying to eat... ("shit! must be a ninja attack, bob isn't responding! put everyone on red alert and get those fingers shut down until we isolate the problem!")

ok, so he feels mature, but in reality he's a punk. His feelings are still valid. You can't invalidate someone's feelings, can you? Well, maybe YOU can misstree (with your riding whip and boots and all). yes miss tree can I have another?

actually, in shared reality (which i believe you refer to) he's not a punk or a vampire wannabe or very mature for his years or being unfairly persecuted or anything. he's a collection of cells and chemical processes. all of the other things exist only in personal realities--opinoin and all that. and not seeking to invalidate, just to point out a bit of hypocrisy so it may be internally corrected if needed, and vent a few of my feelings about the hypocrisy in the meantime. and forget riding crops and bullwhips. all about the braided leather belt. (and chris, ya shouldn't aughta be saying things like that to me... the world remains in one piece mostly because i prefer being sub... but just barely... and when people who can stand up to me run short, i will cross the tracks for whatever fun can be had... there are enough factors leading to the destruction of people you'll never have to wake up next to, quit addin' to 'em. :P )

your words are worth whatever they are charged with, and in fact their worth is utterly independent of your worth as a human being. your age tells me what part of your life cycle you are at. if someone is speaking about marriage who is 17, i know that it's not very likely that they've been married, and if i hear a 40 year old talking about high school i know that it is a slightly different version of the system than exists today... this does not in any way affect the worth, but simply give insight into that person's particular perspective... nom, i'd guess you at either 20 or late 30's, you have a peaceful exuberance that seems to be most commonly found in those parts of life.

I'm adversly opposed to vampirism in all of its forms, and as for sylver well it just popped into my head (as most things tend to) when i needed something to fill in the whitespace next to 'you', after 'says' and above 'email' so i simply typed it. 500 is just an arbitrary number that i chose, for experience can be condensed and diluted, it was simply an abstract point i wished to make and not any delusion i was having of my own amount of experience.

Further elaborating, age isn't as important as what stage of development you happen to have reached, what you've accomplished, and what kind of person you've become. As improbable as it would seem, a 20 year old can be said to have lived a full as a life as a 90 year old, depending on what both subjects have done with their lives. Currently i'm in the typical "Generation vs. Stagnation" stage, which is typical for my age.

The answer changes with time. If I give an answer now, it will be wrong next year. Instead, I will claim to have been zero days old as of 25-Aug-1973.

I told someone today I'm 34. She said "That's not bad!" I said that I hoped not, and that I hope to be 35 and 55 and 105, and I hope I will think that they are all good ages.

XV roman 1111 binary 17 octal simply F hexadecimal or merely the seemingly common age 15 in the more common base, which I seem to require an excessively long time to express a good age, perhaps, occasionally giving me an excuse to be immature, though other days it's realised that there is really no excuse for mediocrity but 16 in a month, college in two, and then I will have no excuse and may have to grow up and quit whining and nothing changes the fact that I do know twelve-year-olds who are more mature than I

The hexadecimal system is weird. What is it for, anyway? (that's your cue to tell me).

18, 19 in less than a month, though it means legalized drinking and smoking, and since i dont smoke and can drink anyways, i'm sure it is just an excuse to have a day off work and school

i alwyas thought blather wasnt about who you are. cause in my mind, it's not. it's about just saying that you honestly think about something. there is no place to say who you actually are. cause it dosnt matter here in blather.
