Who decides these things? I would define the essence of being as activity, motion, with projection the manifest destiny of Existing itself. The definition presented above is how I would define NON-being.
We all define these things differently, and that is just fine. There is no real need for us, as a collective species, to agree on the meaning of being. So why do some - religious zealot and scientist alike - feel so compelled to thrust their definitions and interpretations upon the rest of us?!?
Perhaps because they are bored... and insecure, to boot!
