kristin
that means we are somewhat important now
000607
... |
emily
...we've always been important...now it's just public knowledge...
000607
... |
kristin
but what is importance?? is importance imoportant? And if so, what defines importance? Having a name in Bather? Does that mean that nobody else is important besides us? Because if everyone is important for no important reason, then what's the point of being important? Just trying to be deep... not working...
000607
... |
kristin
and that imoportant is really important, in case you don't know... but that's not important..or is it?
000607
... |
emily
...if importance is gotten by having one's name in blather, then there are many important people in this world--because there are quite a few names in blather--but i'm leaning towards saying that importance is not gained from being on the pages of blather...
000607
... |
Kristin
So if importance is not gained by having your name in blather, then WHY have your name in blather?....oh I get it now- It makes you more important to have your name in blather, but blather is not the only source of importance- Next subject- Good and Bad Is anything in this world really "bad"? Because "good" cannot be defined with out having something bad. How can you say something is short with out having something long to compare it to? So if you can't have good with out bad, then how is being bad a bad thing?
000607
... |
emily
perhaps being bad isn't really bad at all....but we have to treat bad things different from good things so that we can tell what things are bad as opposed to what things are good......
000607
... |
kristin
so what you are saying is that these words are different, but not opposite? What is "opposite", really? Because you can't have one, without the other, but the two things that depend on each other are complely different, or are they?
000607
... |
kristin
oops, I just wrote on opposite- I was wondering if opposite just means different? I'll have to get a dictionary...
000607
... |
emily
...well, good is probably listed in the dictionary as 'the opposite of bad'... i agree that they are different and are quite possibly opposites of one another...however, i do not off the top of my head know the exact definition of opposite....i leave that up to you and your dictionary...good luck :-)
000607
... |
Kristin
Opposite: a fact or condition imcompatible with another. Incompatible: incapable of association So if opposite is two conditions incapable of association, and good and bad are associations of one another, are good and bad opposites?
000607
... |
emily
...logic would lead me to say yes, they are opposites....but the way those definitions are phrased, it seems that good and bad are not opposites...it's sort of a paradoxical situation...

But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine it from what I know of you. Are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemies? Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you...But you must have known I was not a great fool; you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me. -Vizinni

The matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes, to blind you from the truth. -so what if we really live in the matrix?? =) Does this bring back memories of clowns, by chance??

i met this girl in rochester in a car outside dennys. she didn't say much until later when we moshed and looked at pictures of tattoos. she's one of those friends that you never see because of distance. but plans are being made for everyone to see everyone again.

i didn't write this today but i don't care. emily and me drank coffee today at denny's. she has blue hair and 4 gauge holes in her ears which i think are gross. but meghan's are even bigger and grosser. emily likes blue dinosuars and stars. we do photography and come out of the dark room smelling like ass. it's not pleasant but you get used to it. damned chemicals. emily is gwogeous (i don't know how to spell it the way i want to SAY it). she tolerates me only wanting to listen to the first 2 lunachicks songs in the car. and lets me press rewind over and over and over. we talk about boys and how much they suck. but only most boys. we both hate rochester. we went to chicago and i bugged her for a long time about when we were going to get there. we went to Jigaco too. but never got out of the train for that. it looks just like chicago, identical, completely. emily always offers to take me snowboarding and teach me. but i'm stubborn and i feel stupid falling down all the time, so i tell her i'll just learn in montana.

emily you speak of love, yet show hate, and ask me to call, knowing the love you receive from me comforts you in sleep, as an infant wrapped in flannel dreaming of butterflies in her crib. on an arctic night does even the wildest child reject its blanket in stubbornness? i speak of you and show love, yet wonder if my call is desired, unsure if my love is returned by the mirror on the other end i aproach the mirror and view a blanket torn and frayed as if someone had cut out only those pieces desired and given the rest back i need not sew my blanket together for i have not lost anything the pieces you have are not yours, they are mine, you can not keep them forever, soon those pieces will complete me with them i will grow with what you have added, i will be better for that and i thank you i simply pray that the infant child bundles warm in this frigid air and dreams of butterflies forever.

poor southy. emily's jerking him around and he just lets her. who knows? maybe he's perfectly aware of this and is getting what he can out of it, but she still pisses me off with all her, "I love him, but I don't know if I'm in love with him. I can't make up my mind" crap. none of the rest of us can do anything but stand back and watch them go back and forth depending on her mood.

I knew a girl named Emily. She was one of the perfect ones. She could be nice. She always wore gold jewelry. Her father called her fat, even though she was small with a lean body. Life sucks sometimes.

i've always liked the name emily. I'm not sure what a name has to do with the developing character of a person, but i think it's important. i've never met an emily around my age, but if i did, i'd ask her out. i'm sure she'd be the coolest

makes me want to do horrible things. she is snotty and motherly and uncreative and a valley-girl all at once and if my mother hates her, then she is definitely not worth my time because my mom doesn't hate anybody. but emily makes me angry like no one else makes me angry and it makes me feel bad and guilty and sad but more than that i'm just pissed and that is what emily does to me.
