However, I think that, as far as chewing gum goes, I would guess that the sweet smell of the gum is what attracts them (kinda like antifreeze). Since sweet usually means good, and gum is sweet, then gum is good and gum is eaten. And sugarless gum counts, because you don't have to have sugar to make something sweet. I'm not a primary smoker, so I don't really know if cigarette smoke is sweet, but again, I would guess that the cigarette filter with its trapped nicotine probably has a mildly sweet tobaccoish smell. But you also have to keep in mind that dogs will eat cat poo, so they're not exactly discriminating when it comes to eating and drinking... Caramilk. Well, if *I* was going to make caramilk things, I would freeze the milky center and then dip them en masse in melted chocolate. Usually, I'm all about location, and I'll take a bigger hit to the wallet if it means the apartment is in a neighborhood I really like, has great access, or just plain feels cool. If your city is anything like Denver, then such locations do not often come cheap, so if you've got a great deal on rent with a great location, it's icing on the cake. Issue 1: No closet space. This can be a problem for people with lots of stuff and/or are not good at making stuff. I don't know what kind of floor space you're looking at, but I would suggest getting your hands on some stand-alone wardrobes, armoires, chests, and shelves. If you're good with your hands, you can make your own stylin' furniture. If you make it all out of cedar, you won't have to worry about spiders (for real). Issue 2: Low ceiling. Me personally, I like head room. I like vaulted ceilings. I like skylights. If you won't be bumping your head walking through the living room, but won't be able to fully extend your arms above your head either, I'd suggest painting the ceiling a light shade of blue (like, light sky blue) to make it seem like the ceiling's not so low. Basically, it comes down to what you'll put up with and what you'll do to make yourself comfortable. Is the rent and location great enough that low ceilings and no closets are overshadowed? Death of a Rose doOd! don't get freaked or nothing but you were in a dream last night. we were in some womens apartment and the apartment overlooked a natural outdoor stadium. ringed all around this stadium were other exactly identical apartment buildings (vine covered, sorta meditteranean style). it was early evening and there was a concert going on, it was Bon Jovi (don't ask why, I don't know, I dislike them intensely (old flame loved them...if you get my drift)). So the exterior balcony that overlooked this stadium was naturally grassed and you were sitting back and enjoying the light show that accompanied the rock show, smoking a cigar (like the ones clint eastwood smoked all the time).
