i was in Ames. where the concert was. now im in cedar rapids. where CREED was supposed to be but they cancelled. i am left unmoved. however, weezer kicked my ass. so many orgasmic moments. Highlights include when they played Only in Dreams, Dopenose, hashpipe, el Scorcho, Tired of Sex, buddy holly, why bother? The Good Life, oh who am i kidding? their whole fucking show was awesome. i was seated not EXTREMELY high above the others, but high enough that jumping up and down really hard and fast was kind of inconvenient. at least, thats what i came to understand and to know when i bashed my knee against the empty seat ahead of me. tanya was moved.

weezer is an orgasmic band... i would have killed to be at that show. ah, i'd kill to be at any show... favorite band, but haven't yet seen them live. i hope i will soon, sometime. they never bother to come around down in Atlanta, not exactly a city appreciative of weezer. or, compared to a lot of other places. but anyways, i've heard they're awesome in concert. i start crying every time i hear the song "Across the Sea," but a real live show would be so awesome. my friend calls me dopenose sometimes. it's a weird kind of joke.

make sure their opening band is someone you like. they have a habit of touring with Good people as well as people you just don't care about seeing ever. Twice i've seen them. Twice i didn't give a shit about their opening band. i would have killed to see them when jimmy_eat_world or saves_the_day opened for them. or the_getUP_kids

definitely... saves the day would make a good concert, then again the get up kids is another one of my favorites, speaking of which isn't their new cd coming out on the same day as Maladroit?

I feel guilty about the last concert I went to. While I was out that night my best friend attempted suicide. It was Ani DiFranco. She is a lyrical, musical genius. You should check her out some time.

Yes ani is good live but i often feel like the show would be better if it was in a smaller setting, i.e. a small concert hall. i saw her in a huge auditorium. she didn't play many audience favorites, just whatever she wanted to do. which is what she is about, making herself and all that, but its not really a fun show. its impersonal.

it was my defeat--so why are you retreating? simple questions deserve simple answers, thought it would be interesting at the least to share a few measures breaking the long-established pattern, you left without saying goodnight.

I saw Ani in a rather small concert hall. But I had really shit seats, and it wasn't the kind of places to get up and dance in the aisles, which would have kicked ass. You're right about playing audience favorites.
