There goes God - Crowded House Well, anything crowded house is good. Still by Alanis Morrisette is in my winamp now, kinda a cool track. Evolution Revolution by Tricky anything Ben Folds Five or Counting Crows is good. If you want some weird light stuff try Waltz for Aiden by Mogwi. Some Ani Difranco if you are in that kinda mood. It's just a suggestion.

*smewch* to User24 for that suggestion. Love that song. Jack off Jill is how I escape coworkers singing country. :D suggestions, hrm? "cross bones style" or "schizophrenia" by cat power "right now" or "turn it on" by the creatures "paper bag" by fiona apple "manifestation" by haujobb "i kow you" by henry rollins (spoken word piece) "ulalume" is an excellent reading of a ea poe poem by jeff buckley "the last thing you need to hear" by kristeen yound, or if you can find "hi-tek", i will send you my pinkie finger for a copy "crackhead waltz"... the artist may be listed as ritalin, rx kyReamin, or Martin Atkins or Nivek Ohgr... i doulbt you're gong to find many other crackhead waltzes, tho. "gulf war song", "and so it goes", "entropy," and "johnny saucepan" by moxy fruvous (there's sometimes an umlaut on the first u)... very neat canadian vocalists "insanity", "nasty habits", "only a lad", or "no one lives forever" by oingo boingo, for starters "dig ophelia" by rasputina "everything's bad" and "buckets of beer" by the tossers "headless waltz" by voltaire there are zillions of others, but those caught my eye in winamp. :P

I guess this is as good a place to ask than any... what's up with this mp3 lawsuit crap? I heard something about it from a friend, then read an article tonight... can they really track you down for downloading music? Forgive me my ignorance, please. I don't quite understand - should we all be deleting them, or just not download or what? Is it time to be good little consumers and go buy every friekin' song we thing sounds decent? Maybe I'm a dramatic, but how frieked out should we (I) be? I mean, if the courts are now behind this whole deal... I don't know. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

it is sometimes legal, depending on when the copyrights expire, is it compywrited, and if you bought it from the rightful owners or no. but 90% of the stuff i download (and most everbody i would thank) is copywrited, the copyright is valid, and i didnt pay a dime, so yes, it is illegal (sp?). but as far as i know there is no way for "them" to track you down (without breaking a few rules them selfs) and anything popular you download is made by a corporate whore. so i say that you "should" not stop downloading, but the courts say you should (even though they have a difficult time stopping you).

the problem is, with certain versions of windows (ME, i think, not enough of a geek to remember), slid into that licence agreement that no one bothers to read is a clause that while you're running it, microsoft shall be allowed access to your entire hard drive whenever they so please, and it automatically notifies microsoft when you log on. don't know much more about it, but puppycrusher is a very slick, very informed hacker, and i have it from his lips. and one of my coworkers reports that she's been getting letters telling her to stop downloading shtuff, but i don't know anything about the accuracy of that.
