I am going to run away to Kentucky the 1st free weekend I have. I'm not telling anyone that I am leaving. I am going to find my great-grandmother's grave. She was a strong woman who died in Chicago but wanted to be buried in her hometown soil. The soil she plowed herself for 15 years after her husband died. Owensboro here I come to see where I'm from. I directed my chorus in a show tonight in Mackville, Kentucky. It was a blast.
After the show, a fellow pulled me aside to ask how I liked the lights that had been installed around the edge of the stage area.
I hadn't noticed them.
I looked over and at them and told him they looked great. He went on to explain how his brother had brought them from a riverboat casino.
I told him that was so cool.
