blather will one day end when some blatherskite becomes famous. they find out that they used to blathe and, in order to learn more about the celebrity, go through blather to find his or her blathes. in doing so, they reveal to the world this place and everyone else decides to blathe or search for others or read the celebrity's blathes. it will no longer be our safe haven, but an exposed address. so. no one become famous, ok? (any)(other)(ideas)(?)

i don't really tell a lot of people about blather but they saw me on it so much at school, that people began to get interested. i mean, i would sneak blather onto the computers every second i got. it was strange to me that some of the most stuck up people were interested in it. snotty pretty girls and such. i mean not all, but a surprising amount. and then they would come up and thank me for showing it to them and how much they liked it. who knows? they could be among us now. and blathing wonderfully. everyone has depth, i believe. they are just too afraid to show it or don't know where to find it within themselves.

I think it generally only appeals to the 'right' type of people anyway - if it got that popular, newdream probally wouldn't be able to cope with all extra activity.

i have not told anyone about blather either... i think mostly because i don't want my "real life friends" reading all the stuff i write here. i like this place as my outlet for things i don't even say to my best friends.

sometimes I do wonder if any of my friends have heard of it. I don't want to draw their attention to it but it would be entertaining to know... I simply cannot bring myself to say the name, though... I end up questioning people about their online habits

what's worst is that i've presented blather to some people that i've blathe of, hoping they would find their blathes in a masochistic way. sometimes out there i say: 'just like daffy said..' or 'just like typhoid said once..', which is really funny to me, nonsensical to the rest.

Blather is my dairy... I am always completely honest here... so I don't really tell alot of people who know me, because then they would know everything. Scary... I have told a few at one point or another and they looked and wnet "huh?" and never came back. I was sad, (becaus they didn't get it) but oh so relieved...

For most people on here blather is one of their favorite secrets. People who blathe know and love it and therefore would never want to ruin it and knowing how it could be destroyed, would never allow it to happen.

Once I was a blathervangelist, trying to get the whole world to write blathers. I changed the "start" page on my Internet Explorer to http://blather.newdream.net/cgi-bin/blather?random so whenever I or anyone else turned it on it would have a random poetry thing to amuse or inspire. I got fired. They thought it was porn.

there are a lot of computers at my school. in one of my classes last year, we used the computers everyday. anyways, i would check blather during class. the same time i started using blather, my computer started getting a bunch of porn pop ups for no apparent reason. just all the time, even when i wasn't doing anything online (the computers are constantly connected). everyone was so sure the cause of all these pop ups was blather. dumb.

okay....i'm going to be optimistic for once (okay....maybe twice). If we can each send 10 bucks to our two creators maybe they can purchase bigger hard drives and ram and all the other nifty stuff (that is assuming they just don't go down to the local bar and have a drunk on us), so that blather can remain forever. It would be interesting to have all the blatherings printed into a bible, so that we could all quote little passages from it.

this idea worries me, i pretty much stopped writing in journals almost four years ago when i found this place and started tagging as startfires. i mostly use red now which probably has more room to grow. if they took down the website one day, all those entries would be lost forever into no nevermind i have nothing to say oblivion.

for a while i was printing a lot of blathes, when lemon_soda and i were doing blathering_about_blather, but i get nervous spewing on the printers at work. ;P the publishing company was great back in the day, though, an 80-page quote list would easily go unnoticed.

it makes me sad to think all the growing i've done here in the past three years would disappear but maybe not that sad; some of this is like salt in an old wound and re-reading it is like rubbing the salt in til it stings. i'm a little masochistic that way (sp). and i've already run into trouble with people finding it and getting upset and blah blah blah. or the albino stalked me for awhile here so that he could know everything and then throw it back in my face...yeah stuff like that, i wouldn't be too sad about blather's_end. and when i don't have access to a computer i just buy handheld notebooks and carry them around with me and it is my wireless blather...well electronically wireless anyways. hehe. 'look, there's ivy hanging from that i.v. stand....ha..haha*nervouslaughter*'

I'm afraid ,one day I'll log on and everything will be bright yellow.Every page, invisible yellow type on a yellow background. Every page, but you can't navigate in the glare to really know this. Even the final "oops" will be an invisible yellow. So be careful, ok?

i kind of wish that the end would be like dying in your sleep. you don't you ever left because you didn't expect it. i wish blather would just kind of forward itself to a random unblatherish website instead of announcing that it no longer existed. it would be a kinder way of breaking the bad news.

if blather ended it'd be like a really bad break up, or like coming off drugs. this is so addictive and its so easy to become incredibly dependant, especially on venting thoughts through blathering. noone i know knows im here, and i wish to keep it that way. if blather suddenly exploded, they'd notice my disillusion with the world. please, don't let it end, not for a while yet anyway.

I hopped a ride on meta and found this blathe. It saddens me. Because I think it would be really cool/awesome if blather was a place where a big revolution happened that somehow changed the world. I could think of nowhere more fitting for the beginnings of a revolution. But as I read this blathe, it makes me wonder. Is this what should happen? Would a revolution cause an influx of people that would inevitably cause blather to crumble? It would be a sad day indeed. I have both minds. But isn't this place what you make of it? And doesn't that make it particularly vulnerable? What if blather itself becomes infamous?
