Ok this question is as unfair as the favorite song question. THIS time, however, I refuse to give in to my urge to run from the question like a shickenchit again. So here goes...I'll narrow it down to 6(this number originally started at 3)...but you can't hold me to them, cuz I might dig someone better out of my huge collection and say "Oh chit! I forgot about them!" and then my whole image will be blown and...well chit I don't really give a crup about that stuff huh? Ok fack it then...here goes...SOME of my favorite music artist(s)(hows that for showing sum ballz huh?!): Steely Dan Jane's Addiction Megadeth Prince (or the artist or whatever the fack he wants to call himself.) Bob Marley Tracy Chapman That's in no particular order and it's so misrepresentative of my tastes that I'm thinking of deleting this blather and starting all over again. My favorite song of all time is not by any of these artists.(Then again...maybe it is...Bodhisattva? Three Days? Looking Down The Cross? Adore? No Woman,No Cry? Baby Can I Hold You? grrrr...these blathers are UNFAIR!)

WAY to god damn many :) i'd agree tho with lost when he says that about different moods and what music takes place. Anger i'd resort to slipknot. Happiness its probably Incubus. Jamming out for anything is megadeth and type o negative. Total headbanging is system of a down *smiles* and korn. Heh feeling frisky would be Jack_off_jill and some manson. When being alil sad or depressed its usually Staind or orbital *the music with no lyrics is awesome to just think to* But yes i have more and i will write more here later or keep posted

see that's the thing. this topic is titled kind of annoyingly, because it sounds like you have to say an individual artist as opposed to a band. but whatever. so, pink_floyd 's my favorite band, and david_gilmour 's my favorite individual artist. there ya go. I'm all about composers rather than artists. Though I suppose composers are artists. All over Shostakovich, Will Grant Still, Schumann and Ravel. I'm also a big fan of Ben Harper, Ben Folds and Dave Matthews. G. Love and Special Sauce rocks the boat and Soul Coughing rocks the house.

Jeff_Buckley defines what music is. I don't have a favorite singer, but my favorite is Kate_Bush. Blind_Melon never went wrong. Not once. There is other music that I listen to that is just as good (like the Rolling_Stones, for a very brief example) and other people I listen to more lately (like Mirah), but those three I have listened to often enough and consistently get the right response to say that I truly know and love them.

The Beatles, for sure. They are the best and they are going to forever. And there are some other bands... Oasis, a great Brit Pop band... Nirvana, the best for loneliness... Spanish Heroes del Silencio, they're very philosophic... La Ley from Chile... Guns 'n Roses, Metallica... I wish I could be a rock star!!
