Dafremen Blatherskites are paper sails
To catch the winds of our expression
The nothingness that is our expression, the wanting-to-be-somethingness that it represents
Inseparable from these expressions are the rules of order found in their chaos
Like the strings that keep blatherskites tied to the ground
These tethers are tested to their limits, on occasion snapping free from restraint
Twisting and gliding prettily yet swiftly to the ground, we find that blatherskites need these strings to keep them soaring, to keep them stable.

These strings that we place on our expression must be both delicate but enduring.

Mutual respect regardless of personal prejudice allows blatherskites to stay tied to their individual ground.

But it is the unchallenged wind of expression that allows blatherskites to find their mutual joy against the background of a common sky.

i think what distinguishes blatherskites
is that incessant imperative you know? ones being burbling up and out of them.
A rhetorical rogue, a truth teller, sages and vanities, and seers. We stir the entrails and consult the muses and build these rigorous abacuses of distillation and cogitation and the wars within at least my/our breast(s) to be a rational man, to be tethered to thing that i can touch, that have pecuniary value, to have a heart swollen by throe, to be stirred by what is beautiful - the dueling of Platonic and Aristotlean verses. These are not rooms that are full of bones that do not make a sound - I am not such a man - who will hurl my apostacies into a pityless unhearing sky - let the fire leap from me and i will write it upon the Heavens breast - picture an armada of caskets set out to sea their sales billowed by deaths obliterating sigh - there are so many things i want to say and so hard to stop to hold back my heart and turn down the flame and write an elegant exposition - i'm all raw and ragged - and here we can rouse the dead here we can lay our harrow down- here we can say I am not such a man who will throb silently in his cave - this is my winter lyric - and i will make a sound like a saw - rudely stir the day - and slash at the darkness - this is the house of desolation and inconsolable despair - this is a house where charmed iron flowers scream - such agony, it is unbearable to me to be unwound in such a tapestry - and some with the breath of innocence still in their wombs it won't be long until they too are bruised -and i wish we could be bound together w/o the yoke of hatred animus i wish we could clothe our minds in candor and then not have its embered issue stamped out - and maybe we nourish these winds of unreason - maybe
and I'm waiting for a living light to pour into my squalor - and what about all these vying vanities - if we do not elevate ourselves first then what will others see? By the way the ice cream man has a big sack of crack - and some of us reveal a whole world in one rapturous breath - and some of us prattle away the time pulling at pubescent themes and seams - one great cacophanous choir and I say DAMN IT!!! Sing out sing out, and do not let your heart drown within it's depths - and most of us grapple with the essential paradox of the creative act, and sometimes we see things shimmer at the corner of our eye sometimes on the edge of wakefulness we get a glimmer of genius, of what we can truly be - to go beyond and break its yoke - lets scorch the earth and exhale comets into/across the sky let us sing ourselves into divinity - let us be loud - let us not sink beneath the surface and latch the door let us be heedless - let us hurl our howling spears with pinpoint accuracy - let us be at the heart of tyranny - let us be at its throat - let us divest ourselves of all these petty tyrannies - let us speak about trembling in ecstacy as our lover shudders beneath us - let's say it all with quicksilver virtuosity - let us say it with a true and trembling ephebic earnestness - don't pawn me off with a prayer to some fallen part of grace and be all broken sighs and reasons why - let us be exalted in our emptiness -
let us be

oldephebe Daf - Ha ha! I told you the tang really roils the gastric juices, i'd be all abdominal heaving and variegated spumes but thanks for the encouragement and kudos on your book deal

mistree - i've read some of your lovely words and have been similarly affected (or is it effected? not so smart after all i guess) thank for such kind words, really because all the circuitousness i know it can get pretty maddening sometimes - i'll keep trying to pare down the prose, but then i'm reminded of something jane said and then i just let it all hang out or flood out as it were (as it were? who am i Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? c'mon let's get on with the insouciant and ironic verbiage!

misstree indeed. sometimes the best way to nail down a concept, a feeling, a moment, is to dance around it with outrageous words, like a bee trying to tell the hive which flower has the nectar.

after all, isn't expounding upon words the reason why we're here in the first place?
