miniver I wrote my first poem in kindergarten, and it's fundamental mechanism was a rhyme between "flower" and "hour".

I also have a picture I drew even earlier than that. It's a giant scribble-blob, the creation of which seems to have been accomplished using every colour in my crayon box, in no particular organized pattern, but not overdone so much that it turned out completely brown. It's titled, in that classic kid-learning-to-print penmanship, "Worm in a Garden". After that, I went into my horse/unicorn-drawing phase for a couple years... 		000624

Not some long-suffering labor, and I'm not talking about physical exertion, because I've played around with some fairly labor intensive mediums before. But I'm talking about the process of Pre-formulating an Idea, and then trying to Force it onto, or out of a material. If the material has something to say about it ( and it usually does) then it is best to be flexible in your Ideas, and allow for some variation in your theme. TalviFatin The other night, whilst my man lay sleeping, drooling, and snoring on my bedroom floor, I was struck by an inspirative beam. I got my watercolor materials out, including frisket...that smelly old stuff...and began creating something abstract once again. I felt healthy, even though it was 4 am...but I normally create art late late at night. Its the best time to concentrate, release tension, cut down stress, and express myself. I never have forced an artwork. I love that feeling...letting go of control and watching the path it takes. A path so beautiful to frame. i test very poorly, my IQ is modest, abe average but the average IQ of someone whose spent a few years in college and read an eclectic assortment of books which is probably most people here on this sight....but man when the creative flame hits it's literally i'm hit the hyper speed button and i see everything and hear everything and everything else seems to be moving really slow...it doesn't happen as nearly as often as it used to unless I'm sleep deprived and then hyper creativity really kicks in..that is unless i have to build or fix something..cause i'm not much with the tools..didn't get the handy or engineering gene...
