i lived in ventura for ten years, first in an apartment on santa clara, then in houses on macmillan, and cedar st. just down from the cross. i surfed the point, ate at cafe fiore like a regular, and loved sundays at arroyo verde.
once we camped out under two trees and woke to total fog.

okay, face it. i'm an idiot for posting this. it's been done before. but isn't it possible that some people didn't respond the first time? and we have some common ground on which to talk about ourselves. after all, we all came from somewhere. sure people have changed names and so you don't know they are actually here. i certainly know that blather is a place i have tried to leave many times, but never have. if i really do leave, i would probably come back as a new alias. on that note: does anyone know if paste! still posts here, maybe under another name?

paste! is a dinosaur blatherskite and is probably reading if not posting under another name. skites rarely leave blather altogether. yeah, we stop writing from time to time, but we still visit to see what's up. the dude is awesome and we enjoyed his outlandish writing for many years, just ask yummyc, or seventeen, or is it eighteen, by now?

there's a few Aussies around here so I wouldn't label North America as 'it' just yet. I think the Aussies have mostly hailed from the east though (Melb, Syd, Bris), anyone from Perth/WA or even SA/NT?
btw, some of the dates on those "out of date" pages are pretty recent so I wouldn't write them off entirely. Also there are some pretty good location lists on some of those blather_journey_book pages, and presumably the pending addresses/people are at least mostly still current.
