We start a blather mix tape and everyone puts one song and sends it to the next person on the list. eh? eh? 020301 ... Mahayana im so freakin in! great idea!~! i was thinking of doing a cd yet this is even better prob. more accessible to more blatherooski's ? question though ? is the song of a known artist or are we doing our own sort of creative song, or experimental sound collage or is it just a "do your own thang thang?" I just thought a tape would be easier. Unless you can write a song onto an already written cd (?) But yeah. ONe song to symbolize the person recording it. Yes, i agree a tape is easier and less classist & inaccessible than a CD would be & yes by far easier, as well as more likely to be in the average household compared to CD burners and/or CD players. However, yes you [can] write a song onto an already written cd, you just wouldnt finalize it until all tracks desired were burned on it ... than youd finalize it and it would be playable both on computer & CD players ... unless you specifically made it only playable on computers ... [which one of the benefits would be... youd be able to fit a tremendous amount of song files on it vs. a CD that is played on a Cd player] i [love]the notion of ..."Unity and Beauty in diversity" one song to symbolize the person recording it. Gather a list of participants, and have it be a different order than the other one, and maybe people who don't want in with the book WILL want in with the tape, or vice versa. people involved in the book wont have to do the tape. PLUS the tape will never get heavier. if my calculations are correct it should always be ABOUT the same price, or not too far off. And if its in a different order, then it would be sane for me to start it off. (I bought a walkman just so I could listen to the tapes bobby sent me) I like the idea of having a seperate list, but am not really sure what sort of media would work best. 020307 ... j_blue i know the point of the thing is that people can create something physical and more real than blather, but the benefits of mp3 and internet are hard to ignore internet could give us an easily duplicated, potentially easily burned, higher quality, easily distributed mix disc relatively very quickly its kinda nuclear, how its better but worse but hi tech but not really... 020307 ...
