that would be pretty nifty to have you guys on vinyl. how much extra does it cost to have you bring it to me? ;)

o n m heh, yeah i am pretty stoked on vinyl right now! we got an old record player a while ago and it's just beautiful...but it's in the pawn shop right now, ha. been really enjoying kraftwerk and the cure on it.

it'd be fun to do some cassette too even, but that's just over the top right now...

soon as we can get a tour van we're doing the trek to the t dot yo!

ClairE Hey, finally listening to your album! I've wanted to for so long but I always seem to remember at work, where I can't listen to anything. So I am sitting in my underwear in a half-packed apartment listening to you guys. I *dig* your sound! Sorry to hear that you weren't able to press the record, if I read that correctly. 3 100829
...
ClairE Goddamnit, I don't remember anything about blather. That was supposed to be a heart, but you can have a 3 instead if you want. 100829
...
n o m wow, thanks ClairE! awesome of you to listen.

yes it's still not pressed, ... i am still trying to figure a way, just still struggling to live every month,...it's been pawn shop survival!

i still feel good about the album / recording, but it's hard sometimes, i need encouragement badly at moments, wish i had a cheerleader or someone to really believe in me besides myself,...but it has helped to have the support i've had from blatherskites and other listeners. it's hard to listen to anyone telling you your albums are failures, and it's hard to face the amount of rejection one has to face in 'being indie'. i'm always very thankful at shows when i get a heap of love from people.

the first one is also available for free download and on itunes, and i still have copies i can send to anyone here for free.

we recorded the 1st ourselves on zip disks, in our jamspace and then my vocals at home, likewise done with non-stop takes and no bits cut up and pasted,

but unlike the 2nd, the 1st was done in 4 takes (my vocals, f's vocals, my instrumentals, and loop/drums) then mixed together,

whereas for the 2nd we took our samples and loops and played live to them in the studio like a show lasting 3 days and then didn't let the engineer cut/paste/double anything, so it is kinda raw and maybe risky to some in this world of autotuned everything, but doing it live like that was the reason we paid not to do it ourselves! personally i'd rather have the emotion than perfection

oh well the whole thing was basically written on acid/shrooms anyway so it was a big experiment!

we were supposed to get pressed by this label who's little logo we stupidly put on our first release with only email promises, not a signed contract,...

we pressed 600 cds for our debut, and sent a bunch to radio (helping to promote the label). they said they'd put out 1000 more but didn't,...and then didn't help with the recording costs for the 2nd like they said they would, and didn't press it and didn't even tell us why, in fact gnored us. (apparently they are broke, but still, you'd think they could email?).

so i tried to raise funds instead through donations / kickstarter but it didn't work,...
and we haven't found another label yet. though the bassist from the cocteau twins gave us a great compliment on our first and said we'd be picked up by someone for sure! i'm still holding out hope. we'd had some good reviews from our 1st, but haven't been able to afford any PR on this at all.

it's been a stressful year mostly so far. stomach ache since january. will see what happens!
