The last bastion of untainted indie rock is college radio. Commercial radio plays what you want to hear. What you want to hear is commercial radio. Corporate radio. Don't you get it? If you didn't listen, you wouldn't like it! That's why you like crap. Matchbox 20, Creed, and The Goo Goo Dolls. Don't buy their CD. Don't be a slave to corporate america, Clone.

that's soooo funny!!! I was just coming to this page to write that same line! I was listening to alkaline trio and I just thought, hey, I think that line should be on blather somewhere, and you already put it here! excellent taste. I think the best line from it though is "shakin like a dog shittin razor blades" just love that.

Maybe I don't want to be left alone with my thoughts, maybe I don't want to be left alone. My thoughts tonight are all still in today. The voices and images floating and echoing back and forth through my head and I can't be rid of them, I can't climb through them to peace or clarity. My own voice being shrouded by others. I didn't want to be alone, but my choices were either being able to cope with tomorrow, or being able to cope with tonight, and tonight made the easier choice, because soon tomorrow night will come. And so my radio continues to keep me safe from the lonliness. But soon I have to put it to sleep, so it can wake me in the morning. Damned push-button options. It can either put me to sleep, or greet me manyana, but not both, and in this particular choice between night and day, the day wins out from mere neccessity. This topsy-turvy life won't go for that much longer, and then the radio can return to being happily a friend, and no longer a lunch hour saviour.

alkaline trio should be everywhere. in the shadows where the heads hang low you hear voices as the wind blows asking "can't you see?" reminding you to breathe it's only time before it catches up to you and all your broken luck i found a better way to get even with my memory in the darkness where the angels cry "give us water, give us back our eyes our beds this concrete floor and it's all we have left to live for a day we'll never face we're only second handed sick and lonely fighting back the tears and every urge to van gogh both our ears" that said we've had enough please turn that fucking radio off ain't nothing on the air waving the despair we feel NO! in the shadows where the heads hang low you hear voices as the wind blows asking "can't you see?" reminding you to breathe it's only time before it catches up to you and all your broken luck i found a better way to get even with my enemies that said we've had enough please turn that fucking radio off ain't nothing on the air waving the despair we feel that said we've had enough put "walk among us" on and turn it up ain't nothing on the air waving the hatred we feel NO! this is our biggest fear only tunes that we hear come via antenna through your car raid-ee-uh-oh-oh-no that said we've had enough

i don't listen to the radio half as much as i used to. now i only listen to it late at night when i'm downstairs on my computer and it's dark and lonely upstairs and i want to hear the voice of another real person who's out there, awake at the same time as me.

Didn’t they use to play music? Not commercials w/ a song or 2 randomly dispersed through all the commercials? WTF happened? and yet they wonder why we "steal" music Hell if you rob us of it on the radio and then rob us yet again with the prices you charge us for a CD,, yes just one CD then is it any wonder that we've gone all Robinhood? WE DONT LISTEN TO THE RADIO FOR THE COMMERCIALS!
