some janitor at a neighboring dorm on campus found white powder on the door knob to the boiler room a few mornings ago and the whole dorm was evacuated while people in their alien suits came in to clean the stuff up. i understand being cautious but i think there is a fine line between common sense and paranoia. how many white powdery substances do janitors come in contact with every day? i guess the sample was sent down to columbus to be tested and i wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be tide or baby powder or even cocaine.

The media is succeeding at scaring the crap out of everyone and in turn raking in more bucks for each new person they can reel into watching their repetitive and rather unhelpful news broadcasts. Anthrax is dangerous but the odds surrounding infection aren't that substantial. As always the media is now blowing things out of proportion. We should worry about Anthrax but doesn't it ever cross any of your minds that the media was the same entity that brought up Anthrax in the first place? Not long after Sept. 11th the networks starting crying "What if they use Anthrax?!" and sure enough not soon after we ended up having these Anthrax mailings etc. And of course the networks are making money because now they've got an exciting story to report, the public is woefully buying into it, and we're all fucked. Some days I just want to go back to being 4 years old and jumproping. Happy foolishness was never that bad.

Being in the military, I've heard tons and tons about anthrax long before Sept 11. We've been taking anthrax vaccinations for about three years now. I have a general statement we were issued last year saying, "It's not a question of if anthrax will be released on the United States, it is a question of when. We, as military must be prepared for that day."
I've seen the tapes of all the different goodies terrorists have in their biological closet. We had to watch videos of little bunny rabbits convulsing so hard they broke their spines after being introduced to a nice little toxin called Serin. There is a virus out there called VX that could wipe out three counties in less than two days.
Anthrax is a little flower virus compared to what is out there. It's a heat rash compared to what their workin on, all they need is a little more time, and a LOT more money.
Hope they don't get it.

they are surfers, riding the crest of this scare in the hope that they can pile paranoia on top of the already understandable hatred the americans are feeling.
you can almost smell it in their sweat that the last thing that they want is another naam, and so anything that can stop the folks back home sympathising with the enemy has to be a good thing.
bombs are good, they kill people and weaken the enemy, but unfortunately they are a bit indiscriminate (see chinese embassy incident). propaganda poisons everybody.
was anybody taken in by the claim that bin laden was poisoning the u.s food drops? they just want to plant that little seed of doubt that might turn his countrymen against him, unfortuately it is also the seed of doubt that might just make the difference between a mother feeding her starving child or not.

we are an anthrax free facility.
one of my friends recieved a strange looking letter in the mail addressed from Israel
covered in all these odd stamps of bombs, etc
they brought it to the police immediatly, where they said the police were scared to deal with it
they went home, thoroughly freaked out, and threw out the rest of their mail.

I can seriuosly say that at the end of all this, the terrorists had nothin' to do with the Anthrax. I say it was something done for a whole nother reason done by someone who will remain anonymous until thy reveal themselves.
