caseys_movie_reviews Casey Not Another Teen Movie- I saw this movie tonight, it wasn't that good. And it wasn't just because I was drinking a sierra mist that tasted like cigarettes. The movie wasn't that good. It's a parody of teen movies (duh), like Scream was of horror movies. I always liked teen romance movies, so this one kind of sucked to me. There were stupid breast jokes through out the entire thing. And there were many other gross parts that I dont want to go into. I give this movie about a 6 out of 10. Some parts were amusing, others were gross. You can see it did take a tiny bit of effort to put this movie together as a parody from all the others. 020105 ... Casey Shrek- I loved this movie. First of all, it's a great cartoon NOT made by Disney, that makes it at least a seven on it's own. It's a great mix of fairy tales and stories. The story line is great. The originality is good. The idea's and actor's voices are great. Overall I give this movie a 10 out of 10. I stongly suggest watching this movie. 020105 ... silentbob Do memento 020105 ... SuicidalAngel Well the reason it get attention is cuz of the books, but actually everyone I know said it sucks. 020106 ... kerry everyone i know who has seen Lord of the Rings agrees with me that this movie WAS beautiful. the scenery is amazing, the costumes, the plot, (taken from the book of course) the characters. the actors were wonderful and i recommend this movie to anyone. 020106 ... Casey Ghost World There was one single DVD of this at the movie gallery. And the movie was beautiful! It has Steve Zahn(spelling?) and that girl from American Beauty. That girl always does artistic films from what I've seen. I'll look up her name later. But all I have to say is this movie really stuck me, it was beautiful. It was a bit long, so plan ahead before watching it, but it is still really great. 020331 ... the undead critic Thora Birch...who does have one REALLY ATROCIOUS movie in her resume... "Dungeons and Dragons"...anyone who can sit through that for more that five minutes is a true masochist...my current record is three minutes and 15 seconds without changing the channel, also, i didn't know about Steve Zahn being in it, but i do know that Steve_Buscemi is....not a bad little movie 020331 ... I'm so ashamed. 020401 ... the undead critic no criticism of your efforts was intended, i'm just an anal retentive sumbitch with a mind that acts as a fountain of useless trivia is all that was 020401 ... reitoei run lola run(lola rennt) its a popular german film thats a little off the american mainstream, its not for everyone. its short, 90 minutes and shot in real time. the premise sounds a bit odd, but the movie uses some great camera shots and stills and explores how slight changes in our life can drastically alter an outcome. plus a great techno soundtrack. 020401 ... Casey I haven't done this in a while so... X2 I saw this last night, and aside from Gremlins, this is the only other time when I liked the sequal better than the original. I just felt like the first X-Men left something to be desired. But this one I got into a lot more. I have they make an X3 with Gambit, Beast, and Phoenix( there were hints of there coming all throughout the movie) 030510 ... niska sweet home alabama dumb. but i cried when she was visiting the dog's grave. yeah, he probably was wondering the whole time what he'd done wrong. 030511 ... Casey 50 First Dates- Good movie, the first movie Adam Sandler has made in a while that he hasn't sold out on. Butterfly Effect- As a psych/family studies major I found this to be a wonderful movie. Not all may enjoy it as much though. 040218 ... Casey How the shit could I forget Big Fish?! It's a lovely movie that deserves more respect than it got. 040218 ... Casey Shrek 2 Not as good as the first, but still funny. My favorite character, the Gingerbread Man, makes a wonderful encore appearance involving a wooden puppet and an article of clothing. I give it a 9 out of 10 040527 ... Casey Club Dread 7 out of 10 It was ok, not great. Tons of breast shots though, which upped my score. Also the Pac-Man scene made me laugh so hard I chocked on my popcorn. 040527 ... Casey Jersey Girl 10 out of 10. I loved this movie. A lot of people may say it's just another crappy and sappy father daughter movie, but it's very refreshing. Kevin Smith did a wonderful dircting job and his artistic style shines throughout the entire movie. The actors were also very good. I didn't even know George Carlin was in the movie till I saw it, then it just added to the pleasure. 040527 ... Casey Blues Brothers I decided to do a classic. I give this movie a 10 out of 10. The endless car crashes are really funny and the musical score is even better. Does anyone know how many times they say "We're on a mission from God." in this movie? 040527 ... Casey Bubba Hoe-Tep. Casey Lost in Translation I give it a 9 out of 10. It was a nice movie, a little too long, and the plot was a little shallow, even for me. 040603 ... dosquatch I just wanted to add a thought about Not Another Teen Movie - the only redeeming thing about this entire movie was the Breakfast Club spoof. This scene would have been as lifeless as the rest of the movie, except that they brought Paul Gleason back to reprise his "bull by the horns" speech. Unfortunately, the movie isn't worth watching even to catch this nugget. 040603 ... the undead critic Expanding on Casey's brief blurb about Big Fish, I'll give that one a solid 9 out of 10 My only gripe with the film is thast by and large the female leads aren't given much to do and with the talent on hand that seems rather a waste. Also, there's a certain lack of likability about Billy Crudup's character that does detract a bit from the effectiveness of the story Beyond that, it's a beautiful film with engaging performances, a charming story and a comparatively more subtle side to Tim Burton's visual style 040603 ... Casey The Girl Next Door Actually kind of a funny movie. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Still it could have been a little better. I give it an 8 040922 ... Casey Slither How can you not look at Mal from Firefly and expect him to be anything other than a wise-ass gun-toting kick butt SOB?
