Change is what occurs through time. If no time passes a thing can not change in the physical universe... I say physical because I may be unaware of a theory in physics that is or is not known. As I was saying, Time is all that changes, and as time changes so does everything else.
I am not one to argue, but I believe a more correct statement would be:
"Time is the only constant in the Universe."
This eliminates yours paradoxes(sp?) of change changing change... meaning the fact that "change is the only constant" counteracting itself because if it is the "only constant" it applies to all, and it would have to "change" the fact that it is the "only constant", thus it would no longer be the "only constant," creating a loophole.
(quotes are in place as an attempt to lessen confusion in that statement)
