That depends. There is probably a deep and meaningful origin that I could google and give you. And then there's how I actually came up with it. Which is slightly embarassing. Your choice :)

Here goes... When I was about eight I went through a phase of making up passwords with clues that my sister couldn't guess. Randomly the phrase 'high as a cow' came to me once, so I took every second letter (where possible) and the original 'isao' was born :) She never guessed it and eventually I egan to use it on the web as a name, however...occasionally 5 letters or more were required. I sat at my keyboard and pondered a fifth letter for many long nights. Finally, I decided that a 'u' was easiest to type on the end. Really, try typing it, it is a very pleasing word to get your fingers around. I hope that was an acceptable explanation..

I spent two days observing mostly at a local tv station. I loved it, especially during the live shows because everybody was so relaxed and natural and just enjoying themselves. Also I had a chance to help with editing and now I'm not sure what to do with my life because I loved the editing and that's not quite the same area as accounting......... But yes, it was great :)

I did some filming today, handheld digital camera, extremely hi-tech =D Lots of fun but it was even more so when seeing the clips on the apple laptop and being able to start planning in my head how to fit all of the clips together. $2000 and a camera at stake here =|

The aim of the film is to make an unpopular school subject appealing. So basically the clips are of a physics class with an emphasis on the 'fun' parts and everybody looking extremely cheerful. I never knew how fun it could be filming a class who have been told to laugh on cue :) Final Cut Express, I miss iMovie :(

Honor, honour. Strange. I didn't do a lot, made a couple of movies for school and edited some clips for assembly presentations. But I found it to be so user friendly, especialy compared to Final Cut. I'm sure it's easy to use once you give it a good go, but the interface is so......intimidating.

Is she enjoying it there? What sort of things is she learning, and where is she expecting it to take her? I'll keep that in mind, thank you :) I am not quite sure what I can say about Americans that wouldn't be taken offensively by numerous blatherskites. Spelling is definitely one thing though, center and meter and color. I must admit the whole George Bush scenario had me baffled also... I know that we're usually ony shown the bad things, but the levels of racism in some parts of America really worry me. I could probably go on but as I'm not wonderfully informed I'd probably end up digging myself a large hole :) Oddly enough Flight of the Concords is more popular in America than it is over here. Do you enjoy it? They are classic Kiwi bands, other notable ones are Split Enz, Dave Dobbyn, and the more recent Elemenop. I'm quite jealous of the music scene over there, many of my favourite bands only make small tours around the States so unless I travel it's unlikely I'll get to see them live. What is avatar? Eagle vs. Shark has had mixed reviews over here. Personally, I loved it. Although the accents were rather unbearable. My dad grew up where it was filmed so that added a nice touch to it :)

greta loves the school and has made many friends and contacts. she is already working in her field and has been able to travel to india and mexico and several of the states on film shoots. she is learning all aspects of the industry, but i would say the majority of her learning has taken place hands on during her experience with commercial projects and her own side work. she started when she was nine and made films on imovie of her and her sisters stories and is extremely motivated and tireless, basically because she absolutely loves what she is doing. i wrote a story which she is rewriting into a screenplay and plans on turning it into her senior thesis film. it is an incredible honor for me as her father. her plans are to continue working as she has been. she's currently with act zero films in brooklyn, nyc which her boyfriend started. she's currently on an ad campaign shoot for porsche which will take her on location to miami, colorado, martha's vineyard, and the hamptons. george bush is a huge embarrassment to america. he and his puppetmaster cheney brought a huge stain upon our country which obama is trying to clean up, leaving us all in a malaise of mistrust and disillusionment. are you happy with the government in new zealand? racism in the states will never go away. it is better than it used to be for sure, but it is still evident practically everywhere you go. flight of the conchords is on hbo. it's emmy nominated. i like how the guys are naive and yet their wit is so right on. i would imagine they are stereotyped. perhaps you could shed some light on which characteristics and qualities truly represent new zealanders. yes, music flows like water here. it's everywhere and very accessible. we are completely spoiled. even minor cities in the u.s. are part of the tours of thousands of well known and indie bands. avatar is an aliens type cgi/photo based film that is supposedly being made for 300 million, which makes it the most expensive film in history. some of the footage was recently shown at comic con in san diego to rave reviews. two films i am really excited about are tim burton's "alice in wonderland," and spike jonze's "where the wild things are." what is the last film you've seen in the theater? what is your favorite film?

It sounds like she has a passion for what she is doing and that seems to be vital in successful career. It's great that she's found what she wants to do in life and that it has ended up working out well for her, especially with those opportunities to travel :) What is the story about that she is rewriting into a screenplay? You must feel honoured :) (note the 'u'............) I'm sorry that I haven't heard of 'Act Zero', 'Martha's Vineyard', or 'The Hamptons' but she sounds very privileged and her job seems to be a dream come true almost. Wow, I don't think I've heard an American talk that way about Bush before and I'm glad to hear that you at least felt the same way as the rest of the world. Obama has a pretty huge task ahead of him but everyone has a lot of confidence in him and really, after the last president you can only go up. The government here is a bit unusual. What we see of them on TV often looks similar to a children's playground, they're always fighting and yelling at each other over petty things and resorting to childish tactics. Recently statistics about MP's government allowances, including travel and accommodation, have come out which has caused some distrust towards them as they are wasting the tax payers' money. I haven't ever actually seen Flight of the Concords myself so I wouldn't know if they were the stereotype we typically get. I'm not sure how I could describe us really which worries me a little because I truly am having a mind blank on this one. I suppose as a nation we like rugby. I find it sad that that is all I can come up with..... We aren't surrounded by sheep, there are no hobbits, we do have technology and not many of us run around in grass skirts. Why is it being filmed in New Zealand?! That's quite unusual, also as I haven't heard anything about it even though you say it is the most expensive film in history. Ah, Comicon. That is another reason why I envy you. You guys have the conventions. So so jealous. Alice in Wonderland looks to be very good, so does Coraline. But I've heard some bad things about Where the Wild Things Are, and the book was a childhood favourite so I'm a little worried as to what they'll do to it. I don't go to the theatre often as it gives me motion sickness, so the last film must have been.....Slumdog Millionaire. I was incredibly disappointed. I do not really have a favourite film as I don't watch them that often, but I did enjoy Crash by Paul Haggis on many levels. Have you seen it? I ate too much brownie, and now I feel a little sick.

the story is a semi-autobiographical mix of real world and parallel world concerning a young boy, his mentally ill father and his relationship with a girl and the intrinsic effect on each world. greta wants to begin filming soon. casting it is going to be the most difficult thing about the entire project. she definitely has the motivation to pull it off. i did see crash quite a while ago but i do remember it to be arresting and provocative. it deserves the praise it receives. i highly recommend coraline. to me it is a masterpiece. i especially loved her stalwart pluckiness and the stunning visuals. this is a film to own and view at least once a year. from what i've seen of new zealand it is incredibly beautiful and geographically diverse. i would think films like avatar are made there for that reason and probably for tax eases as well. have you ever traveled outside of your country? by the way, i hope your tummy is feeling better.

That sounds really interesting, what was your inspiration? I can imagine as you were writing it you would have had ideas in your mind as to what the characters would look like, are you helping with the casting? I have a terrible memory with movies and I think I only remember Crash because we studied it in class which meant repeated viewings. It worries me. Thank you for your opinion, I was hesitant about seeing it before but now I will brave it and go, the book was quite unusual but despite that I have actually read it four or five times. On the news last night they showed a bit about a film being made here, 'Separation City', and it was filmed in Wellington but it could have been anywhere really, it looked beautiful and i do not associate that with places here really. No, sadly, and I have only travelled to the North Island twice that I can remember. Which is a little sad but it’s nice here I’m hoping to go overseas next winter to somewhere warmer, perhaps Rarotonga. Thanks, I am feeling better now.

my inspiration? that is a very good question and i've been thinking about the answer most of the day, jotting down thoughts in my journal as they came to me like bits of grass a bird drops from its beak as it flies to the nest it is slowly and carefully building. when i was five, i made a first lasting connection with my imagination, inventing a parallel world where my concept of the ideal family lived, a construction that would intricately develop my entire life, evolving as it needed to in relation to what was occurring in the real world i was inhabiting. my toys became the props, fuel for the fire that burned inside. i gave all my stuffed animals names and voices and anthropomorphic lives. in my teen years, my father suffered from a debilitating depression and i found solace only through immersing myself in the insular existence i had formed. fortunately, he found healing several years later. i moved away from my home in pennsylvania at 18 to california where i married at 20 and then proceeded to begin my own family with my wife at 23. we returned to pennsylvania at 29 where we presently live on a 5 acre farm we call robin_hill. we homeschooled our three girls and since i worked to pay the bills i was only required to teach one subject...theatre of the imagination! and so we breathed our mythic conversations in the sweet summer fields and quiet woods, absorbing the nuances of the sacred, entering doorways within doorways. we made our own costumes, developed our own language, wrote our own fables, and performed for the audience of birds. there was always an intense feeling of presence in the uncanny, potent life we were sharing and we demanded each other to remain constant. eventually the girls, in their teen years, established their own theatre project with a few friends and put on several of their own plays in barns or under stars before crowds that reached near fifty people, plus a few dogs, cats, chickens, and neighing horses. graduation came and the girls each followed their muses, fell in love with their boys. the oldest is now married, the middle one has her own post punk band, and the little one we've already discussed. they are the inspiration. to perpetuate this connection is one of three purposes i possess. a single expression that echoes in their collaborations. greta's reel, which is a sample of all the films she has recently shot are available on vimeo under greta zozula. she's planning on casting the film, using some of the actors that appear. i forgot to mention to you before how much i loved the new zealand film whale rider! are you familiar with the maori culture or the legend of paikea?

I feel both happiness and sadness when others share aspects of their childhood and lives with me. Happiness because they, you included, have had such wonderful experiences and seem to have had wonderful adventures even when the situations around them have not always been the most child-friendly ones. Sadness because looking back on my childhood, which I suppose I am still experiencing the tail end of, I do not see anything amazing or comparable with the stories I am lucky enough to hear from others such as yourself. It seems that they generation above me experienced a lot more freedom in the simplicity of their past, and by that I mostly mean the lesser amount of technology around. I believe that without high access to computers, televisions, cell phones etc. we would be forced to find entertainment in the more creative activities and more often than not have to create our own fun, rather than more often than not relying on electrical technology to provide our entertainment. When I look back, the moments that I remember most vividly are the holidays I spent on a farm out in the country where my Aunt and Uncle lived with my two cousins, both girls who were near enough to the age of my siblings and I. During my time there I created the memories that are going to stay with me throughout my life, not the countless hours I spent in front of a television screen. I will have a look at Greta's reels when I get a chance on a proper computer :) Whale Rider was a very powerful movie, I enjoyed it also, how were you able to see it? The Maori culture is quite big over here, we are taught about it at school although not so much in the later years when we choose more specialised subjects. Unfortunately most of this teaching focusses around The Treaty of Waitangi and to be honest we get a little sick of it, which is a shame because the Maori culture is actually very interesting. Have you seen Haka?

"create our own fun" i believe is your key statement and it is this vital philosophy that will sustain you as you go forward into your life, no matter what you do. our six senses are a swirling circle that inhabit and propel us moment by moment demanding us to filter each encounter and transform it from the mundane and banal into the wonderous. you have that ability within you, simply because you are human. filmmaking is an excellent medium to accomplish this and i'm sure you are finding satisfaction and fulfillment in the process... thanks for introducing me to haka...i was led to several videos of the all black rugby team which was stunning and very powerful. i am a sucker for unification, especially when collaborative movement and voice are integral parts. parades thrill me, especially when i am part of one, marching bands, drums, crowds, my clown dog and me! what is your involvement with haka? do you witness it often? where? in what settings? do you know people that do it? what do the words mean?

So your advice would be to focus on creating my own fun, and turning all of the less exciting moments into the best that I can? I have lost motivation with film making already, the stress of study has pushed it out of my mind which causes me to seriously question my drive and worry a little. A lot. The All Blacks are another of our claims to fame, had you heard of them before now? Unification can look and feel absolutely stunning, however I believe there is definitely a time and a place. Who is your clown dog? I must admit I have partaken in many a Haka in the last 12 or so years. The school I am currently at, all girls, has it's own Haka and to be honest I would find it pretty offensive if I was Maori to see a bunch of white girls like us attempting to perform such a thing. Although it is a lot of fun when we get competitive. I see it at school a few times a year, and whenever watching the All Blacks on the tv. There will be a translation somewhere on the web for that particular Haka, but there are many different ones each particular to its situation.

only you really know your life inside out. for me living it that way is the only way i can make fun out the normal. you can. but how you do it is really the fun part. the process itself. i'm sorry to hear of your worry. don't worry. things will all work out eventually. you have choices to make, steps to take. one by one. little by little. help is coming to you somehow because you are a good person. continue to be aware of everything around you. everything is working together and you are a part of it all. you don't have to figure out how it's all going to work. it will be made known to you in bits and pieces. how you know they are yours is the tricky part but that knowledge comes with risk, faith, trust, and belief. but most of all, not being afraid. i have part time work as a gypsy style clown. i perform a show for children at schools, birthdays, campgrounds, and special events. i use a unique blend of music, magic, puppets, facepainting, handmade props and child participation. my clown dog, a chihuahua, is my accompaniment and main attraction. during parades, he follows right behind my meandering, goofy, big red/white-footed trail. thanks for the haka translation. i think it is very cool that you perform it. i would absolutely love to see you do it... are you also considering accounting? which universities are you looking at? ka ora!

What are your religious views? You sound like a mentor, and I am hopeful that your daughters have appreciated you as their father because it certainly sounds like you have a large amount of wisedom and knowledge to impart. The faith of other people is comforting, inspiring, and often more motivating than many other rewards or possible gains. You are a clown! That is fantastic. How long have you been doing this for?working with children, especially in situations like that, must be so rewarding. What is your dog's name? While we must be a formidible sight with our blinding white arms and school skirts, I'm sure that proper Haka would probably be more informative for you too see :) I am not quite sure what I am considering anymore...but accounting is probably on the list somewhere. thanks for your kind words... pre-life/life/after-life all people share these three elements from the beginning of time, that is if there was a beginning. perhaps there is just an always. no one knows. but we want to know. some of us so badly. i think that's how religion started. we came up with a way to explain how we came to be here, why we are here, and what will happen to us when we die. the question i ask though is, why do we follow what others think? (all the major religions of the world) why can't we each have our own interpretation? we have little say as children. religion is something we are taught to accept as truth. but in the coming of age process we awake and begin our own journey of discovery. i'm far along the path trying to learn as much as i can about what all kinds of people people believe. i've witnessed what people could deem as miracles. my definition of God has evolved. i think i just want to live a balanced life more than anything. i love science and the big bang theory of how the universe came to be makes sense. all these particles coming together to form something completely new and alive. but i have to believe in a God that did the smashing and the mash-up. there's just way too much beauty and incredible ingenuity for it to be happenstance. but who or what is this God? if i am a collection of particles then i am a part of this God. everything is. i can study others and behold God. i can examine nature, contemplate its dependence and see the story of God. i can watch birds, animals, and insects and marvel at the intricacy of God. i can peer inside a microscope and gasp at life inside life inside life. i can deep sea dive and shudder at the wonder. all the life, death, and rebirth. the endless circle of regeneration. the drop of water on the surface of a lake and the ripples spreading outwards, larger and larger to the other side. the realization that there are only two choices: yes and no. from those stems all consequence. giving what cannot be taken away. what is prayer? communicating with your own origin. desiring to emulate the one force that maintains order instead of chaos. creation instead of destruction. is it love? that's just what i think. at least during this late hour anyway. i know there's much more i could say. but i was planting several trees today and i'm totally exhausted. one thing i do think about religion is it's a waste of time. it has caused many wars and has divided people and cultures. God is one. we really screwed that up. i don't think God is a man or woman. God is invisible. more like perfection. God is all we could imagine and then an infinite amount of what we could ever think. there is no beginning or end. there is all that was and is and will be. i like to imagine when we die we will live in a parallel world where the mash-up is completely different and unique, but i think what's very cool is no one knows what will happen. of course people have died for a brief time and came back to say things about bright lights and meeting God, but even that could have been brain related. i think it has to do to a lot with what we do while we're alive here and what we leave behind. our testimony in words, deeds, memory, relationships, art, music, how we represented what our concept of God was...why else would you even want to live here? look at a flower or tree...they live and produce seed, then die. but their seed lives on and perpetuates their existence... i've been a clown for twenty years. my dog's name is teedo and he's quite the charmer, spending most of his time with me in someone else's arms. he's old, really old and has lost a few teeth, so his tongue lolls about making him rather comical. i teach at a children's ski school during the winter so i do have the pleasure of drinking from the fountain of youth. what are your thoughts on God?

Your words for the most part make sense to me and while I do not agree with all of it I do find your ideas, thoughts, and views utterly fascinating. Is he well loved? I am often concerned for the happiness and wellbeing of dogs used in shows, most especially one I saw who was fed on fudge. Not that I am suggesting that you would be cruel to teedo because he really sounds lovely :) a ski school? Interesting. I have never been skiing myself, the one time I went up to a ski field I chickened out at the last minute. It is quite late and I am quite tired which I will use as an excuse for my lack of brilliance in my writing, but really I do not think I have the experience yet to make my own valid judgements and beliefs for or against a God. However in saying that I would class myself at this moment in time as an athiest, and honestly I do not see myself ever finding a time for or appreciation for God. My upbringing has been an athiestic one however I do attend a religious school but that does not effect my religious views as nothing us forced on us. Hopefully one day my beliefs will have reasons, but for now I just do not have a reason for a god.

have you ever tried hand reflexology for headaches? Massage the webbing between the thumb and index finger of your left hand with the the thumb and index finger of your right hand. Use a circular motion with the thumb on the top of your hand. It may feel tight and even a bit sore. Continue the circular massage into the webbing of the hand for two minutes. Be sure to touch the sides of the metacarpal bones of the index finger and thumb. Important! No matter where the headache is located, be sure to do both hands for two minutes. This technique may seem too simple to bring real relief, but it's been around for 5000 years! Try it!

i'm curious about your suspicion. what don't you believe about massage and health? congratulations on scoring such high marks on one subject. scoring low on a favorite subject while being sick is quite normal. sometimes when we are weak in one area, we are strong in another, perhaps turned on its head when in the throes of feverish illness. i recently heard about a musical project in new zealand featuring a collaboration between wilco and neil finn called, "seven worlds collide." also: the second season of flight of the conchords is available on dvd in the states. what is your favorite subject?

How does massaging a part of your hand have any effect on your head? I've been brought up a skeptic and without hard proof I find a lot of things difficult to believe in. I felt, and still do feel ashamed of my results in that particular subject. Even though the exams are mocks I feel I should have done better and my boyfriend especially is trying to help me see that it is okay. But I still feel ashamed. And I feel ashamed of feeling ashamed. The title "Seven Worlds Collide" comes from a song called Distant Sun, a Kiwi classic I believe. Otherwise I don't know much about the project. How did you hear of it? My favourite subject? That's a difficult question. I enjoy the bits of philosophy we sometimes learn about however that isn't a particular subject. Possibly my answer is Classics. Currently I'm having to make my subject choices for next year and it is proving very difficult, although I think I may finally have it narrowed down but with a few unwanted sacrifices.

there are a calculated rotation of stylistically-designed electrical currents of life energy running through your neuron-driven, hyper-firing, synapses. you can deftly use your fingers to supplant a surge of energy to your head from a particular spot on your hand because years of experience and testing has revealed certain areas to be mirrors of each other. this for that. that for this. so you want proof? good. just do it the next time you have a headache. you will discover for yourself the wonders of your body's amazing and meticulous way of encouraging the immune system to function optimally. moreso, the chinese, who have been practicing reflexology for 5,000 years perform it three times a day when there is an illness involved. i like your use of the word, "mock." makes me think of pretense. no need to feel ashamed of personal shame. humanity is a refection in the water. you see yourself in a hundred different people. so you have a boyfriend? does he play rugby? or is that stereotypical of new zealand? i heard about the "seven worlds collide" project on world cafe, out of philadelphia, pennsylvania in the states. oh and new zealand makes killer sav blanc! classics! right on. what are you reading?

I will try next time I have a headache before becoming too skeptical. Do you mind me asking your opinion on chiropractic methods? I'm not sure if mock was the correct word to use, perhaps practice would make more sense. Could you please explain your comment that 'you see yourself in a hundred different people'? I do indeed. Yes, the rugby thing is stereotypical however he does actually play social touch rugby sometimes with his friends, but his passion is for computers and electronics. I must admit I wouldn't know a lot about the wine from here, but I can imagine that if it has made it's way to America it must be fairly tasty :) When I say classics I refer to the study of ancient Greek and Roman society. As a class we did read the Odyssey this year which I greatly enjoyed, it truly is the original adventure story.

i've been a patient for a chiropractor. my limited treatment was mostly swedish massage, but the doctor would come in and do some funky things to my spine. i'm scared of the noise that my bones make. i think the practice makes sense, as for properly lining up the spine to create a good flow of kinetic energy to the entire body. mostly, i'd say, i try to avoid any doctors. i want to learn how my own body works. speak its language. translate it to my own understanding. prevention through exercise and nutrition. i go to the dentist every six months. teeth are soldiers. i like the way you use your words. there is a southern hemisphere inflection. mocks, like mock-ups? just practice before the real test? you'll get it. you seem to know what you want. rooted and grounded in your personal philosophy. what is your narrowed down list of subjects? good luck making that choice... the meaning of being able to see yourself in a hundred different persons is inspirired by the i ching, or book of changes. i believe in the gathering of many to form one thing. when you behold a part of yourself in a family member or friend you instantly recognize you share an elemental particle of the everything that is all around us. we all originate from one whole that came apart and is now back together again, completely reformed. perhaps when we die, our souls will explode and reunite its many disparate pieces to create a new body for us to inhabit. does your boyfriend make music on the computer? or film? i have a couple adventure stories here at red that you can read if you are bored. monet_on_bartlett neues_leben vier_seizoenen kemulya_48 cheers!

You see, the way you put it sounds reasonable but I constantly have my dad's voice at the back of my mind telling me not to listen to any of it. What are your views on injections? Teeth are very important to me I have recently discovered also, lot of brushing. May I ask how I use my words...? Glad a this moment that you can't hear the accent that accompanies it. Mocks are practices yes, we have our mock exams a few months before the real ones in order to see what we do not know. Top marks in Physics :) Definites are....physics, accounting, mathematics with statisics. Two more spaces and options are art history, classics, English, or German. I am attempting to see if it would be possible to do half of a subject. You seem to be very into the...natural side of things. It intrigues me. I don't think so. He can play the guitar and has a very nice singing voice (then again I suppose I'm biased). He's more into taking them apart and fixing them. I'll have a look at them sometime :) Do you speak German?

your dad's voice is good for you. listen to it. it's good to be skeptical, but don't let it paralyze you. reach out for more, so you can grow but at a rate you are comfortable with. you can't determine the value of anything unless you have chosen to examine it. experience it and then evaluate. for now it's important for you to listen to him but later as you mature you should try it for yourself. injections? not sure what you mean. i think immediately of immunizations which i am actively against by sheer means of refusing to accept them, opting to use homeopathy to build immunity. teeth are doorways to physical health. they are the front lines against disease so they need to be clean and ready. floss daily. brush twice per day. see the dentist for a deep cleaning every six months. rinse with a neutralizer water. keep the bacteria out! i like the emotional veracity of your words. that's what it is. i don't hear an accent when i'm reading it. more a genuine sensibility. and an honest heart. where is the place that we communicate? are there different social dimensions? wow...physics. so you are on your way to an elite school? must be nice! you should take german. red and blue's famous ever_dumbening is in berlin. he speaks german. i had a grandfather who spoke 6 languages, so i have a fascination for the romance languages. i can't speak much but english. i can tell you that jetzt means now. i'm glad i intrigue you, you intrigue me as well. i think we have lingered long here happily. i am definitely interested in nature. i lived in the woods for a time and roasted fish i caught over a log_burning_fire. what is the alternative to natural medicine? artificial medications with side effects? no one wants that. everything that our body wants it possesses inherently within itself. we were made to balance scientifically in order to achieve success in our environment. we are complete circles. your boyfriend sounds perfect for you somehow. does he love you? do you have a strong imagination?

Because of how I have been brought up I disagree with much of what you say, most strongly toward your views on homeopathy in preference over conventional medicine. However it frustrates me that do not yet understand enough about either to put forward my reasonings and beliefs in a mature and rational manner. One day I would like to have a discussion with you on this topic but for now I realise that i am not knowledgable enough to participate effectively. What is a neutraliser water? Thank you. Truly thank you. Both of those questions could be widely interpreted. I believe that for now communication is purely external from our beings, however in the years to come technology will be developed to extend this, to open up communication possibilities directly from the mind. As for different social dimensions I am not sure. Metaphorically speaking sure, but literally different dimensions, possibly not so much. I'm more on my way from an elite school. Only one year to go but the subject choices are perhaps the mos important this time as many courses have prerequisites and as I'm not sure where I want to go in life I need to keel my options open. German is a funny one, I really love being able to speak the language but I feel that over the last two years I have not learnt much at all and that one more year will not benefit me. Does ever_dumbening live in Berlin permanently? How long did you live in the woods for, and why? That is an interesting philosophy. He really is. Yes, I believe he does. We have been together for over two years now so if he didn't I really hope that he would have said something. My imagination varies from day to day, even hour to hour. It also depends on the people I am with. I have decided to give my friend a cactus with it's own personalized accesories for her birthday. But it needs a name, common enough that I'll be able to find things for it but perfectly suiting a stone plant cactus.

there will always be opposition in the camp. but it is the seeking and finding which shall make you shine. knowledge that will equip but it also separates. experience is its necessary companion, just as the earth consists of opposite poles magnetically engaged in a metaphorical tug-of-war. neutralizer water is an eloptic energized, stabilized, oxygenated product that acts as a supplement to the carefully monitored diet to encourage a balanced pH, which is vital for a strong immune system and overall excellent general health. it is used as a mouthwash to kill harmful bacteria and swallowed to act as an intestinal cleanser of toxins. my wife has an international business as a broker for the product. i keep some with me at all times. the 7x gel is an emergency room in a bottle. i'm curious about what you will think of my stories. my favorite is cadeau_de_vous. thanks for giving them a spin. i like that you have a variant imagination. you will need it for these bizarre tales. ever_dumbening is an american currently living in berlin for a good while. his aquamarine-colored honda is resting in my mom's garage. he would be glad to help you with the german language. i lived in the woods for a few days at a time for several years. i built huts out of dead branches, thatch, and straw and listened to the everlasting song of the stream. i initially used the forest as an escape from my mentally ill father in high school, but once i entered college it became a place to establish my ephemeral identity. i took certain friends to my secret place. i was reading a lot of herman hesse at the time, along with thoreau and emerson. also richard adams. nature is the perfect metaphor for individual existence. there are a thousand stories in the sound of the wind and a thousand more in the blaze of a fire. i'm glad your boyfriend loves you. it keeps your circle spinning. does he have a scientific mind? i dig your cactus idea...what were the personal accssories? what name did you give it? are you a fan of einstein?

With knowledge comes responsibility also. Hmmm. The first part of that made no sense to me, but the mouthwash part I understood. I won't knock it til I've tried it. I'll give that one a go tonight before I sleep, any weird dreams and I will hold you responsible =P May I ask why your mum has his aquamarine-coloured Honda? I may have to ask him for help with a few things nearer to exams. I attempted to read Walden Pond a few weeks ago. As much as I wanted to love it I really didn't, but I'll give it ago again in a few years. What did you learn from your time in the woods? I like that, keeps my circle spinning. He does, he's a year above me and often has to explain scientific things to me, but he is patient and has a fantastic ability to make things sound so simple. Thanks. Sadly I decided to drop the idea because I wasn't sure if it would be appreciated. But I was planning on getting a pen and a mug and a badge and a helium balloon. The balloon is still on, plus meringues, plus cactus, don't tell her..... Name suggestions? Most certainly. Are you a fan of Rutherford? What have you heard by Ladyhawke?

and with responsibility comes commitment. you can test your saliva with litmus paper to determine your body's pH, which determines if you are acid or alkaline, or best yet, if you are balanced between them. the neutralizer water can help achieve balance. when your pH is correct, you are usually cheerful, energetic, and focused. there's so many ways to knock you out of balance. did you have a go with cadeau_de_vous? james, or ever_dumbening drove from northern california across the states to where i live in the east. he was flying fron nyc to london, so he had to leave his car. i offered to hold it for him and my mom has an empty garage so there she be. i used to have what i called the "abc tree." it was a huge maple, probably 80' tall. i climbed it halfway and sat in the crotch of a large intersection of limbs and just thought away the hours. nature was and still is a mother to me, that always has my soul in her intentions. she takes me to the stream to hear the eternal song of flow. everything flows to us and then through us, even while we are caught up in the current splash. we are the sum of our parts. all pieces fitting together in a miraculous mosaic. she shows me the lifecycle of a plant. from germinating seed to shoot to first leaves to flower to pollination to death of flower to production of seed to frost killing to deposit of seed to rebirth. and presently i ask myself...where am i along this cycle? production of seed? where are you? flowering? you said your boyfriend "has a fantastic ability to make things sound so simple..." give me an example please. my brother can do that so well. what are meringues? cookies? as for cactus names...how about patron? che? neruda? spike? agave? tequila tito? peppy? needles? i see rutherford was a new zealander. have you considered going to canterbury? ladyhawke's paris is burning is one of my favorite songs right now. are you into fashion?

Too true. Have their been scientific studies into the effects of your body's pH on you health? I did indeed, congratulations! I enjoyed the level of descriptive language used and despite the rather creative spelling of phone, I enjoyed it :) Which should I read next? Intriguing, kind of your mum and convenient for ever_dumbening. Where are you indeed? Have you progressed forwards since then? I hope this isn't me flowering. An example... After my calculus exam I wrote down one of the questions I couldn't do and asked him about it over the phone, I was kicking myself after that, he showed me how it worked. =0! Meringues are certainly not cookies! I'm not sure that you have them in America... http://www.cuisine.co.nz/index.cfm?pageID=17619&r=1 I hope you can find both the time and the ingredients to make them, search around for a recipe you like, and once you have mastered meringues you can move on to pavlova :) Those are all lovely names, but it was decided that he looked like a Clint. Where did tequila tito come from? Today I purchased a yellow helium ballon with two chickens on it and a purple ribbon. I am visiting his 'den' this week. Yes, in fact unless something goes terribly wrong over the next year between my boyfriend and I that is where I will most likely end up. Who knows what I'll study though. Interesting. I heard two Kiwi songs tonight, both about very different parts of NZ, and thought that you should listen to them. One is Bliss by Th' Dudes, the other is Brother by Smashproof. I cannot currently afford to be into fashion. I love to watch people, in a non creepy way, I enjoy sitting somewhere and observing the fashion, the hairstyles, the relationships that walk past. Thanks :)

i dug up a scientific study done on stress levels and how they affect a body's pH. stress_and_your_body's_ph_level thanks for reading my story. it really thrills me. i know it doesn't make much sense but to me it does. i'm in the process of turning all of them into graphic novels. it's so much fun. next please read, "affame_le_geant" by my identity: fyn gula on blue. it's the story i'm reworking now. if you have any trouble finding it let me know and i can link it to you on blue... i think if i was a plant i would be in the long process of seed production. since i've already flowered, my energy and vision is translated into realizing i must make something which will perpetuate my presence when i leave this earth. a way to live on, even if it is through words and images. maybe that is what i am...an artist and a gardener. i don't think you have flowered yet. you are in the bud stage. unfurling slightly, mildly fragrant, attracting bees and butterflies. are you interested in botany? your boyfriend sounds like an awesome person. i'm happy for both of you. "den?" is that what he calls it? my wife and i lived together for nine months before we got married. we started out in a hotel room then progressed to an apartment in ventura, california, then had our first child, moved into a small louse at the bottom of a big hill. then when we had all three girls and the oldest was six, we packed up the vw van and drove across country to a new life on a farm. sorry for blowing it on the meringues! especially since i was the goofball that brought up pavlova to begin with. i kid you not...link to the post and see what i'm talking about. i'm a cookie monster. what can i say? clint is a good name for a cactus. it's got that c thang goin' on, and clint eastwood's westerns sure had a lot of cactus growing about. as for tito tequila, well, that's for me to know and you to find out. chickens on a balloon! very cool. i feel the same way about fashion. i love to watch people, especially since i work alone and have ten hours to observe what's going on around me. people are living art. and that's just the outside. once they began communicating their thoughts a whole new dimension of who they are is revealed. like a drop of water on the surface of a pond. line upon line is added until the entire surface has become changed into something else entirely. if i were to see your boyfriend and you together how would i know it was the two of you? thanks for the music suggestions. i watched and completely enjoyed the brother video by smashproof. it was powerful. i like how there were three different voices and then gin wigmore comes in to add a very unique diversion. i have a question about the people of new zealand. the members of smashproof...are they maori? and how about gin wigmore? what ethnic background is she? is she a native new zealander? where do your immigrants come from?

Interesting. I'm curious to see what my pH is now because i've been under a large amount of stress lately so it would be interesting to see what effects this may have had. Graphic novel versions of these would be great. I had no trouble finding affame_le_geant but I must admit it was a little strange, but that's definitely not a bad thing. Where to next? :) Are your children included as a way for you to live on when you leave this earth? I'm not particularly interested in botany, but I can appreciate plants when need be and I am actually on the hunt for something that I could grow in my room. I don't really get much sunlight, summer is approaching though an in the right spot a plant could cath a few hours of it each day. Any recomendations? Thank you very much =) I do not know why it is called his 'den', basically it's just where he conducted all of his work and research. How did you and your wife meet? Ah pavlova, I cannot wait until Christmas time. Tonight was meringue night, apart from the food colouring being unsuccessful they turned out pretty well. Added chocolate chips are delightful. I see you and I are the sole pavlovians on red. Do you like twinkies? The chickens are now called Bonnie and Clyde, and I have written clear instructions not to pop them, and to keep Clint away from the meringues as he has a bottomless stomach. Is that a 'you'll known when you're older'? Even though most of my time is spent in and around uniforms, there are still so many ways in which people individualise themselves through accessories, hairstyles, and the way in which they choose to wear their uniform. What is your job? I am not entirely sure what you mean, but if you were to see us together we would both appear extremely happy and focussed on each other, relishing the time we have together before one or other of us has to go back to our hometown. I'm glad you enjoyed brother, it is a very powerful and meaningful video. I'm not sure about your questions but I will just go and investigate for myself... Well. That wasn't overly successful but here goes. The members of Smashproof are all New Zealand born and I would guess that they have some Maori blood. Gin however is more likely to be of European decent but still New Zealand born. Most of our immigrants arrives from Europe, mainly Britain, however we definitely have a large range of cultures and ethnicities living here, especially in Auckland. Just thought I might add that I'm either a 32nd or a 64th Maori (can't remember which).

i'm glad you found the story on blue. there's another one there called, marox_ pass. and on red there is monet_on_bartlett, neues_leben, vier_seizoenen, and kemulya_48. thanks again for reading and your kind words. the stories all parallel my life according to what is going on at the time and then translated into character and dialogue in these bizarre fantasy lands. our children are definitely included as a way to live on. it is so amazing to perpetuate relationships with the girls as they live their individual lives. texting, chatting, visiting, going to dinner, doing garden work at their homes all keeps me connected and current with what's going on with them. i think i see it more in the passing away of my father seven years ago and how so much of who he was is now inside of me. my sincerest wish would be to pass on my spirit to my children and grandchildren. philodendron are the easiest houseplants to grow, but i would suggest visiting your local greenhouse and check out the plants in the shade area. any of those should work. ask the gardener some questions. what kind of research did your boyfriend do in his den? it was love at first sight with my wife and me. she was sitting at a table in the basement of a 100 year old methodist church with a group of other kids. we were both 16 at the time and she was new, from a different state. my first girlfriend when i was 10 had brown eyes and brown hair and so i was always drawn to those physical characteristics. we dated in high school and then waned to good friends status, but it was while i was in my freshman year at college that we decided to live together. she was living in florida at the time and i was in pennsylvania. i wrote her a long letter inviting her to go to california for the summer with me. she called me a few days later and i figured she must have received my letter. what letter? she asked. so it was interesting timing that we were both thinking of a future together at the same time...we made it work out west and were married at nineteen! what a grand adventure it has been...it's been 29 years already. how did you meet your boyfriend? i haven't had a twinkie for a long time. but i am a sucker for cream filled treats. as for tequila, yeah, it's something one definitely experiences and tends to forget from time to time... how do you individualize yourself in a fashion sense? my job is a personal gardener which involves me six days a week, 10-12 hours a day, in all phases of landscape design, construction, and maintenance. my middle daughter, hilary, just recorded an ep with her band, virgin birth. you can find it on myspace.

I enjoy reading your works, the beginning of monet_on_bartlett was especially touching. How many identities do you have? Do you see yourself at all in your friends? I went to the plant shop today with my mum. She was looking for flowers to go along outside the house and I managed to persuade her to help me pick something hopefully suitable. And as soon as I remember what that was I'll let you know =D Ah. By 'his' den i was meaning Rutherford's. It is now a part of the Christchurch Art Centre and you can go on tours around it. The entre area is quite interesting. That's an inspiring love story :) it really sounds like you two found something special with each othe and i congratulate you on that. That is a very...complicated and, umm..unpleasant I suppose you would say story. In short we knew of each other since the beginning of 2006, first text/emailed in November that year, first met in March or April 2007. Began dating on July 14th 2007. And here we are now, two years later, not quite as impressive as your 29. Brandy snaps? I think I may have had a tequila shot about a month ago...the fact that I do not quite remember is a good indication that it was indeed. I wear what I can, that is comfortable and fits, and doesn't look too terrible. Usually this consists of some worn grey jeans, vans on my feet, a muscleback single, and either a knit or a hoody. This will all change now summer is coming. How do you individualise through fashion? Do you enjoy your work? I will remember to look her band up this weekend.

thank you for your kind words about monet_on_bartlett. i am so excited that you liked it. knowing you are reading them makes me extremely happy. i've been on blue and red blather since 1998 so i can be honorably titled a grandfather of blather or blather god, whichever you choose. just teasing. my identities are legion, scattered like leaves throughout the eleven years i've written here. current: redtree crOwl former: fyn_gula farmfish frAnk blumengarten geest en lichaam this should be rillian geschenke things we lost in the fire blueberries angels climbing ebber i'm sure i forgot a few. i think we are someone new everyday, actually. our identity is a mosaic of all our selves renewed each cycle. we all spin around and around, stopping only to be re-created. and growth is so important. learning is the result of our endless observation and interaction with others. the two question marks at the end of this question have me puzzled and smiling. as if you perhaps are seeing yourself in your friends. maybe? perhaps? i do see myself in my friends, i think. at least i imagine it. i guess our friends are the best mirrors to behold our own reflection because any attempt to communicate is written in the subsequent expression. i'm glad to hear you're hanging out with your mom. when i'm with any three of my girls we always have such a blast. good luck with your plant and do tell me it's type. remember to press your finger into the soil surrounding it every few days to see if it needs watered. you can also use miracle gro to fertilize it once a week. it's a blue powder you mix with water full of NPK, the three essential nutrients for optimum plant growth. what is interesting about rutherford's den? thanks for your kind words about kathy and me. i even named our marriage to immortalize it with an identity of its own. i call it rynomari. i see it as the two of us coming togehter to make one thing. it also figures into many of my stories as an actual place. i guess it is my true definition of home. as in dorothy gale's famous cinematic statement, "there's no place like home." i'm curious about your relationship with your boyfriend. how far does he live from you? does he take you on dates? brandy snaps look and sound delicious! i love ginger! yum! do you think i can find them in america? alcohol is a tricky thing. you definitely need to learn how to stop because drinking too much is always a mistake...and can be dangerous in a multitude of ways. vans. very cool. do you ride (a skateboard) ? i like your style. i wear cargo short pants past the knee, doc martens, and a tanktop with a ballcap on backwards. everyday...unless i go out. then it's all bananna republic. i enjoy my work. i dig the earth! i have an ipod touch so i'm always listening to podcasts and an everflowing stream of music to help medicate me during the tedious tasking. hilary's band is bass, guitar, and drum. kind of noise rock. she is lead singer using her voice as a fourth instrument. the rocky horror picture show is a cult classic in the states. people go to midnight shows dressed up like the characters and say all the lines. have you ever done it?

I like having something just the right length to read at night before bed, so thank you. Oh so modest =P that is a very long time though, i made my first post on 13 April 2007, so...a wee bit younger. May I ask the reason for so many identities? The idea that we are someone new each day intrigues me. Do you ever look back on something you did a few days earlier and just wonder why? And be convinced that given the same situation now you would not do that? Alternatively, do you ever do something such as tidy in preperation for an event, knowing that the future you will be greatful? I find myself thinking of this future me as an entirely different person. Maybe. Perhaps. I spend a lot of time with my mum, mostly because we live together but I could avoid her much more than I do. It's a daisy! A pink one. Possibly starting with M. What should the soil feel like if it does need watering? The size, location, and materials. As it is now a public attraction it also contains information about his work, models of the atom through time, an example of his Gold Foil Experiment etc. That is extraordinarily sweet. We live about a 6 hour drive apart, which is difficult when he can't drive and I don't have a car. Plus flights are expensive, especially to his city as it isn't overly large. He doesn't really take me on dates, but that's because when we're together we stay at each others' house so we just hang together all day for however long we have. We go out and do things, but not really dates as such. Which in a way I suppose I kinda wish we could. They are very tasty! I'm not sure where you could find them, a supermarket may stock the shell bits, I'm sure you can manage the cream :) Agreed. And after that one night I have definitely learnt my lesson. I don't, but i love the comfort of my vans. Bananna republic? Love the pun. Snap! The iPod touch is a wonderful companion. What podcasts do you subscribe to? I still cannot believe that actually happens! New life aim = travel to America and partake in midnight showing of the rocky horror picture show.

most of the identities were created just to keep stories separate...so when you click on the name you will find the entire story in one place archived. others were adopted to pinpoint certain personality traits i guess. i don't really speculate too much on what i do these days. i just do it and go on. very present moment and now oriented, however when i was much younger i did think a lot about the future and did things based on how it would affect it. is it just your mom and you? where is your dad and sister? any other siblings? checking your plant for watering you'll find it dry to the touch. it must be tough to live so far from your boyfriend, especially when you really ache to be with him. but i'm sure you have learned how to endure. you have the patience of a glacier, right? i would think the development of your soul on soul connection would be growing stronger daily if you are spending a lot of time communicating via phone conversations, text, and email. hopefully some handwritten letters, cards, and music mixes as well! i wore vans for a time, especially my ten years in my 20s when i lived on the southern california coast and skated on my lunch breaks at work. i used to be the stockboy for a health food store. the only boy with six girls. yeah, it was fun. i remember leaving a pair of blue and white checkered vans on my front lawn and discovering they were stolen in the morning. banana republic is a clothing line. i love their black pencil suits with the skinny tie! podcasts are my way to keep myself from being lonely because i work solo. some of the many i listen to daily: radio lab this american life new yorker national public radio all songs considered the moth the story from american public media the splendid table third coast audio festival hearing voices morning becomes eclectic filmspotting to the best of our knowledge the treatment do you know any podcasts from new zealand i could listen to? when you participate in the rocky horror picture show which character will you dress up as?

Did you make Manu decisions in your childhood that shut off paths for you that you may have wanted to travel down in life? It is my mum, my dad, my sister, and my brother. I am the youngest, mu sister is the oldest. But, my friends often comment on how well I get along with my siblings, I think my sister and I are a good age gap apart (5 yrs) and my brother..........well. Hmmm. It is tough and I am often asked how we mange it, but I do not know the answer to that question. We text and call mostly, I'm sorry but not handwritten letters... Cards though! And i actually gave him a music mix for his last birthday :) he is coming down in two weeks to stay for six days, I am looking forward to seeing him again. Shoes are something one can get oddly attahed to. Does Banana Republic have a website? Some of them sound familiar, my parents are quite into podcasts but not really New Zealand ones. My mum sometimes listens to Kim Hill, she is a kiwi who interviews some quite interesting people. Otherwise I'm not really sure, flight of the conchords may have one? Am I allowed to dress as a man? Because Frank-N-Furter would be pretty fun. Have you ever gone to a midnight showing? Have you heard of the Magdalene Launderies? Have you seen the movie The Magdalene Sisters?

i'm not sure what you mean by "Manu" decisions...please explain. what makes you say, "hmmm" about your brother? best wishes on your upcoming visit with your boyfriend. i hope it is your best visit with him ever...do you have any particular plans? banana republic does have a website. the shoppes are very popular in the states and all major cities have them. although i would love to go to a rocky horror picture show, i never did attend one. i've seen footage on television and it looks like wicked fun. my dress up is limited to the gypsy clown character. i did see the magdalene sisters. i thought it was well done and is definitely a film that people should see. it exposes a time in history that is hard to believe actually happened. i felt really bad for those girls. why do you mention it? p.s. do you think we should create a new post for our ongoing conversation? we have amassed quite a lot of space and my computer is struggling to bring it up...
