It will be the most wonderous thing Mother Nature has ever seen. I don't know if she'll be envious, but it'll be very close. For you I'd lace jasmine flowers into an arch where we both could stand. Rows of dahlias would giggle whenever we walked by. Their petals would be upturned in smiles. The sunny daffodils would be scattered here and there, bringing cheer where needed. Perhaps they would wipe away your tears... I would plant circles of lilies, of crimson, white, and tangerine. And in the very center...especially for you, a single red tulip would bloom. My heart poured into the soil and blooming against the sunlight. This is the garden of my dreams where you may wander to your content.

riding in the car with jackie today on the way to aisle 5 clothing we were just coming out of my street, where house on the corner had the most beautiful lawn with lush green grass and in the corner these huge bushes and i know nothing about plants so i don't know what they were, but they had these vibrant yellow flowers and the whole thing was this big mass of gold, and it was about 60 degrees outside and so sunny so i wanted to just sit inside those saffron flowers and stare up through them at the sky.

Dad had a stroke of genius: use the unused roof sheeting as a barrier. Puppy-proofing. Shiloh was happy when my brother or I tossed a root over the fence. Dandelion leaves went into the salad I made for lunch, which Mom refused to eat. Radishes are coming up from last year's seeds, not the ones I collected but the ones that fell: yes. Y. and I cleared some of the oregano patch. My brother did most of it. I was temporarily annoyed when he pulled up a bunch of mint. The mint sprigs I rescued are in a green glass jar, maybe for another salad tomorrow. Tomato plants, cucumber plants, and a cilantro plant went in. Spinach and remaining seeds for tomorrow. I haven't been able to work at all on my novel today, but can you eat novels? (Shiloh probably could, if you fed him them one paper at a time.)
