the hookup wire had to travel from basement to second floor, from south the corner box and through the central support wall. a line was guided through joists and studs but they had to know what direction to tug. hence, the four-inch diameter holes cut into the drywall, their peering panes to see behind what's sealed and fish. i've got eight thick discs now from their searching, a collection of coasters needing several steps to recover themselves back to wall. first, furring strips secured with flush-mounted screws. second, a sticky aluminum netting tape to cover the gaps. third, a spread of white mud to cover the fencing to seal. fourth, sanding away what isn't needed. and finally, painting what once was.
