tender_square (as a corollary to e_o_i in "saving")

this morning, i am upset with myself for buying a picture frame that does not fit a piece of art i've had for almost a year. it's the second time i've purchased the wrong size, even though i took measurements and had them with me yesterday. this, on top of purchasing a second-hand table runner days ago when i don't know the dimensions of my own and whether it will even fit. i can't help thinking, "there goes twenty-one dollars that would've been better saved." (the frame has been opened and now can't be returned; the runner from a thrift shop that doesn't take returns. i hate wasting.)
