i guess you don't realize how much you value chaos and spontaneity until you start brainstorming with someone who needs to have everything mapped out beforehand, who only half-jokingly says you should make a venn diagram before moving forward. i'm all for going into something with your eyes open, but whatever happened to throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks and what slithers back down in slow-mo?

Spontaneity is my lifeblood—I thrive on impromptu city adventures and quick, unplanned hikes. Rapid decisions and last-minute detours energize me. Yet, when it comes to major life transitions, like relocating to an entirely new place, spontaneity transforms from liberating to terrifying. Moving to a foreign location isn't just another casual detour. It's a profound journey that demands careful orchestration. I'm mapping out a plan to save up enough cash over the next few years so I can basically take a city tour of my life. My dream is to have enough money saved to spend three to four years trying out different spots until I find my perfect match. What am I looking for? I grew up in the center of a town and want to live in a larger city. A city where I can actually walk everywhere, hop on public transit without hassle, find cool ways to volunteer, and just genuinely enjoy living. I want a place that feels right - not just looks good on paper. I might have dual citizenship in Italy by then so I have two countries to look at and it's going to take lots of planning.

I've just lived in nowhere for so long that I wish to live somewhere. I no longer want to be known by everyone and instead to be a nobody in a sea of everybody.
