I've found this LP at work by a guy called Jeff Johnson, very cool almost Marillion sounding stuff fantastic. Gomez, fuck, I mean shit, you just can't say enough about how great these guys are. So versatile, so so cool. Come find Yourself, FLC. "Smoke 'em" & "I can't get with that (Schmoove Version)". Say no fucking more. Brilliant. The Eels, oh my fucking god. It's like BOOM in your head you know? Beautiful freak is great. Best lyrics I've heard in ages. guys, go to http://www.drkev.co.nz/ check out some of the stuff. Jordan Reyne remains one of my favourit New Zealand artists. Paul Ubana Jones. Seen him live twice now. You can't help just sitting on the floor at the foot of the stage and be mesmerised by this white guy with a HUGE afro singing and playing his guitar. Find him on the web if you can. Chris Knox. Seen him live three times, first time I pulled his sandal off when he was climbing on a pole and he cut his foot up on some broken glass. Second time I dropped him and he smashed his head on the floor. Third time he recognised me and tried to stick his tongue in my mouth and drooled all over my beard. Apart from that he's really cool. Check out The Stereo Bus. Self proclaimed Sissy Pop at it's best. These are some of the sounds I'm getting off on at the moment. I hope you check 'em out and enjoy as much as I do. Much Peace dB

Um... everything really. Cure, Marillion, Pink floyd, Staind, counting crows, barenaked ladies, beatles, fairport convention, deftones, ani difranco, rail, cypress hill, black eyed peas, foo fighters, crowded house, finns, fourmyula, farmyard, twilights, kinks, yardbirds. You'll not know if you like this stuff or not uless you hear it. comparing something to something else before you've heard it is just judging whether it's worthy of you or not. Just listen without expectation, if you like, great. if not great anyway, at least you listened.

i didn't go in with expectations...i was just comparing our tastes... i mean, if you listed a bunch of country singers or something, then i may not be interested in the other artists you listed...but don't worry, db, i'll check it out..

Hmmm, let's see, what music have I fallen in love with (and re-fallen in love with)? Rasputina, Mindless Self Indulgence, Veruca Salt, Lisa Loeb, Poe (thanks, elimeny, for those last three), Shock Treatment (the soundtrack), Space Ghost (any of them). . . Bunches of them.

hello jane! Roller skate is very good. From the good album "Call and Response." They came to town once, and our local public radio station was plugging them, and I started saying to myself "call and response, call and response, must remember must remember" Then I found them in a used CD bin, yay!!! Ah yes, you're in So. Cal, so they are local. I love them.

Liquid tension Experiment. I recommend everyone buy both of their albums, or download them off the net, or something. Because LTE is amazing. Five Iron Frenzy is good too. Oh, yes, and might I add, the matches? Yes. I might. Explosions in the Sky is a great band too.
