enthusiasm for anything i'm foreign to, is sexy. men seem more intelligent when they know all about something that i have no clue of, like auto-mechanics, arcane comics, or extreme sports. and i like this non-conventional intelligence in a man. the mere fact that he invests so much of his own self into what he does, means it's important to him and it's apparent then that he is an independent thinker; he has convictions and ideals to live up to, which i can look up to. i may never understand why stooges are funny, metal is poetic, or why he won't give up, despite the very real possibility of a broken leg, but i don't mind sharing that enthusiasm and supporting it, because he's completely brilliant. it is very primal what we find attractive, though the alpha-male of today is dominant due to his acquisition of knowledge or a skill, not his genetic contribution to future offspring. being even slightly exposed to his ideas or activities, and the emotions associated with them, simply makes me want to know a man better.
... and maybe get it on later. we'll see.
