Here's some jobs I'm considering in the near future: I am currently a chocolate truffle maker, but the hours aren't enough. I am working temp jobs, but tired of the mouse wheel. One job would be to tutor kids in Geometry, in a nearby arts magnet school. Yep, I'd be Mr. Pederson, teachin' Geometry. And maybe, down the line, Russian. Another job would be to teach ESL. In a place called the Germanic American Institute. Although they are very weird, I'm really hoping I get that one. Another job is being the cook in a sorority house! I'd have my own kitchen again, serving up grilled feta stuffed chicken breasts upon demand. Pad Thai! Guacamole! Woo hooooo! And it wouldn't hurt to have a house full of teenage women thinking I'm Jesus with a spatula. I cooked in a sorority house once before, it wasn't as bad as you think. They're a little nutsy, but mostly pleasant. I remember washing lots of lipstick off the coffee cups. Any ideas/comments/suggestions?

it is beautiful looking and beautiful sounding. I wrote that under "Russia" I think. I put a link on there to a guy reading Russian. A little too dramatically. http://max.mmlc.northwestern.edu/~mdenner/Demo/texts/loved_you_once.htm

'Kay, now I'm a receptionist/landscaper. Anyhow, I'm sitting in the front office, and two kids are forced to sit there for an hour and a half while their dad is in a meeting. So I play this game with them, like 20 questions. We had fun for a whole hour.

Tomorrow I will start as a chef at a Moroccan restaurant. Middle Eastern cuisine. Their menu has a few of the things I know as Greek food, and a few things I've always wanted to make. I'm looking forward to it, even though it's only $7 per hour to start.

I love Morrocon food. (salivating thinking of tadiq, stuffed cigars, chumas, and other Mediteranean delights)

Now I'm caring for special ed kids. No training, mind you. One of the kids (most severe) has Oppositional Defiance Disorder... he's really defiant, violently so. He has a pro-violence ethic, and a lot of energy. On Thursday I had to restrain him in a time out. Wrestling for 20 minutes, sigh. I hope he figures out quickly that I'm not taking no for an answer. The school is pretty negligent. I wasn't trained at all... I wasn't even told what to do with the kid, or where to take him.

#1) i type words that she doesn't even read. she either reads the teachers lips or doesn't care. i have to rush from the gym all the way across to the english buildings in heels since i just came out of social dance. if i don't catch the first bus (even if its the one that only gets me about halfway there) i'm late. typing in the odd position is going to give me carpal_tunnel #2) i tell you to sign in two places, i point with the pen, you wander away with the keys (they'd kill me if you lost them) without signing at all. i smile at you and nod attentively while you whine about things i have no control over. today at work i cried on three separate occasions. that's a new record.
