Mahayana quoting from blather and changing its options/function in my judgement is two diff. actions. another quick thought of mine is this, i dont have a problem personally with people adding words to blather but once we start messing with the structure of it, it opens a flood gate for others to come in and mess with more than just a page here and there, people will just wanna keep taking it further and further one of the reasons why i relished blather was b/c it wasnt a "webpage" perse with graphics, and tricks, and flashing words etc it was a place where words, thoughts, and connections hailed... more & more it seems to be moving away from that & i guess thats fine and dandy however for myself blather is starting to lose itself somewhere and is becoming just like any other "webpage" [not taking sides- just stating a [one] time quick op] 031002 ... misstree my opinoin is very different from yours, mahayana, though i certainly respect your right to your own; i simply use yours as point of contrast to throw into relief what i feel, make it easier to explain. the words are all still there, waiting. the only alterations to pages have been creative ventures into changing the look, the feel. occasionally strange characters or scrolling names show up. but is this not similar to the illumations of ancient monks? words are still worshipped in these halls. project2501 is an expansion of the playful experiments found within the pages of blather, a variant branch spinning itself a life. it allows blather to grow past blather, it allows us all a place to fiddle. blather itself remains words. in the progression of a fractal, more complex filgirees and variations emerge; the base remains, and will forever be echoed in whatever it spawns. and i can't find who, but someone pointed out that blather is explicitly an experiment to see what shape blather takes. nothing is lost, but much has been gained in its time. i don't think it has become anything like the standard web page, even on project2501... the interaction of the two is such an extension of blather, complimentary and each bit showing echoes of here. it is more than distraction, more than showcase, it is community, and not one of those froofy "i love cats do u???" kind of things, it's a group of souls brought here by faith and interest and need and love. the only thing that could truly destroy blather is an apocalyptic_crash, and that's something that i don't even dare contemplate in nightmares. no, this flowering and feathering simply brings more colors than placid blue, set aside so as not to diminish any voices. and that's my two cents, maybe even a whole nickel's worth. now i'm going to retreat back into my brain and try to get some work done. 031002 ...
