Dafremen
|
R.Dafremen This song is dedicated to those of you who scream out in pain but go unheard. Should've known That you'd have better things to do Should've known That there's no getting through to you That you'd lash back at me Spawn of society You're smashing me again Should've gone Straight for your weaknesses Should've hit you hard I should've been like you Could've thrown it in your face Should've put you in your place To be smashing you Like you're smashing me again Who stands in your way Cuz they've got nothing left to lose Because you took it all away? Suicidal snowmen do And the cold advancing bitterness That backs up their conviction Melts away With every step you take Toward a better way Don't you get it yet? What have they done to you? You've got a twisted gash of a mouth That seems to smirk the pain Of everyone you ever stabbed As they screamed out to you And with the solemn pop Of knuckles clenching Couldn't you feel the pain Turning to rage? Are you so indifferent too? What have they done to you? What have they done to you? Who now stops your madness Cuz they've got nothing left to lose Because you took it all away? Suicidal snowmen do And the cold advancing bitterness That backs up their conviction Starts to fade With every step you take Toward a better way Who stops you and society From making us like you Who stands to block your cold advance? Suicidal snowmen do And the sight of what you've made of them Like looking in a mirror Should make you think Make you afraid Make you ashamed.

"Could've thrown it in your face Should've put you in your place" But that's exactly what your shitty poem attempts to do, you jackass. What do they call middle-aged men who compose shitty poems to lecture people half their age? "Pathetic" is my intuition, but feel free to correct me.

Sokay snowman, some folks can't see what they are doing to folks like you, man. If we start hurting them, we become like them. I guess the difference is that they see this as a game to be played to win points. They don't see how they are hurting themselves by hurting people like you when they could have done and been so much more. They too are lacking something it seems. (Feel for them, not against them. A wise man once said, Forgive them...they know not what they do.)I'm here for you man, email me anytime, like I said. Oh, and it was a song. It's lines are their own justification. If you responded, then you read it. Good. That's a start.

Holy shit, that's quite a messianic complex you've got there, Daffyman.

okay, now I enjoy a good mudslinging as much as the next guy, and at times take great amounts of pleasure in pissing people off, but jesus, lay off dude. You're not gonna piss him off, and all you're gonna do is frustrate yourself. Daf doesn't get pissed off, in fact, he's probably laughing his ass off at this...

Yeah, but Aimee, that assumes that I want to piss him off. "He doesn't get pissed off"? How's that? Is he a robot? Or Jesus? Some combination of the two? And what would he be laughing at? Or better yet, why would I care? Presumably, he's transcended such petty antagonism (until he flip-flops again, I guess). But still, I understand if you side with him. Actually, I don't quite understand, because I don't know who you are or what you believe, and I'm not familiar with your previous experience with Daffyman. Anyway, yours is not an invalid position, and I'm sure you have your reasons. But personally, I think Daffyman's an idiot, and I like pointing that out. So thanks for the genuine concern over whether or not I frustrate myself, but I think I'll pass on the laying off.

Because he does have a messianic complex. It's all over this page.

I guess the sad thing is that if I did (or do if you prefer) have a messianic complex, you're choosing to play the part of the Pharisees and Pontius Pilate. Have we really changed so little in the last 2000 years unknown person? I wish you all the best and I wish the best for the society that we live in. I hope it changes soon, I hope that our children are born and raised without so much of this rejection and negativity. I hope that the rage becomes the energy that fuels our hopes and spurs us on to our dreams. That would rock.

You're right, Dafremen, we haven't changed very much, but I can't be Pilate because I don't have the authority to execute you. Unfortunately. I don't know why you think I want to stop you in your quest to heal the world, make it a better place for you and for me and for the entire human race, but I really don't. It's just that certain ideas (healing the world) spoken by certain voices (yours) strike me as self-serving distractions. So really, all I'm expressing is my disdain for faux-altruistic hubris. But maybe I'm wrong. I mean, I saw "Pay it Forward"--maybe you could make a difference like that robot kid who sees dead people.

Maybe it's just that I cared enough to take a chance that has you holding me in such disdain. I will take more chances and may stick my neck out some more. The saying goes: "The only sure way to fend off criticism is to do nothing and be nothing. Those who do things inevitably stir up criticism." I will NOT be nothing for the sake of placating you and everyone else. I WILL care about you all however. You must realize by now that you have as much chance of changing that as you do of stopping me. Oh and so you know, all you ever have to do is email me to get confirmation of the fact that you have seriously misjudged me and my motives. All of that is my fault, I admit, but the truth is the truth and exists in spite of our impressions of it. You have a friend here, know it, believe it or not.
