 | Teenage Jesus | I simply can't resist.
Once, when I really WAS a teenager, I was at my Grandmother's house. She had gone to bed and I got drunk. I was reading the Malcolm X bio, and found out that he and his pals in prison used to mix a teaspoon or so of nutmeg in glass of water to get high. Huh?!? Who knew? I had no weed, so I thought this would be a good thing to try. Gran had no nutmeg (isn't that against the law; a grandmother with no nutmeg?) So it's almost midnight (late for most folks) and I called Gran's next door neighbor to ask if I could borrow some nutmeg. (Remember, I was quite drunk.) She's like "what do you want nutmeg for at this hour." It's so stupid, but I hadn't even anticipated the question. I said "uh, I'm making a cake." So I went next door and got the nutmeg!

It didn't work...at least not that I could tell.

I have swallowed nearly 3 tablespoons of freshly powdered ~. Oh, it is powdery. Thank the heavens for water.

Of the drugs known to me, there are few accessible ones I have not tried. However, I have known of ~ for years and never tried it because of its reputation as a headache generator.

Since this past week I had the flu, I figure, what better time to try ~ when the worst it can do is give me what I just had. In spite of the things I have heard, I am feeling optimistic.

As an aside, I find great value in Salvia, though I wouldn't call it fun. It is a drug that gives out what one puts in. So I feel prepared to work with the ~.

 I'll report back later...

The Use of Nutmeg as a Psychotropic Agent by Andrew Weil

 | stephshine | nutmeg gets a lot of press for a spice is all i'm saying. | 070219 |
 | | ... | |
 | :-0 | The use of nutmeg as a narcotic illustrates all three points: nutmeg is an obscure drug, causes many alarming symptoms, and brings about pleasant mental changes only in the proper psychological context. Yet nutmeg must be considered a narcotic not only because it can induce stupor but also because many persons now consume it deliberately to escape reality.

don't think i need any nutmeg then !

 | Mr. ~ | For four hours after taking the ~, nothing seemed to happen. So I took a nap, and slept very, very pleasantly, and when I woke, felt mildly stoned: drowsy, silly, horny and drifty. Not intense enough to call it a "high", though. Six hours after that, I am still feeling it as much as ever. I've heard a full dose can last over 24 hours.
Mind that I took 3tbsp. and weigh 143 lbs (65 kg), many recommend a stronger dose. Truthfully, I stopped at 3tbsp. because every spoonful is a challenge to swallow, otherwise I was aiming for 5 tbsp. No headache whatsoever, but my sources strongly advised the ~ be ground *freshly*, so that might have helped.

If someone upped their dose, I can definitely foresee ~ having psychotropic potential. Unfortunately the ingestion methods available are really quite unpleasant - I'm not sure I'll be trying this again any time soon, simply because swallowing 3 tbsp. of ~ powder was really an ordeal. And don't even think about snorting it, ha ha!

The stoned drowsiness persists. Without a doubt, ~ produces effects.
