is really tough sometimes. it seems so easy to just blame things on a god. or just give in to the unexplainable, say that its a higher power, we weren't meant to understand. but i always stick to it, deny the population, who seem to all be christian nowadays. i try to stand up for the truth, even though it's not easy...

With all the corruption going on in their world and all the fake preachers, atheism is presenting more and more appeal. How sad it is that we have ruined the very image of God.

the word used to describe something that shouldn't even have a word. The disbeleif in god or gods or higher power. instead of "atheist" it should be "nothing." "What religion are you?" "Not Applicable."

It's weird to think of yourself of the extreme of everything. The extreme of believe in god, or the "extreme" of not. Most people (think Christians) are totally hell bent on pasting atheists with the sticker of disapproval. I don't see why people don't comprehend that you can NOT believe in "God", and still have a fucking spirit and soul... tough word to articulate on

I'm a pantheistic atheist. wrap your head around that, and If you're not convulsing with a mental logic bomb, tell me what I meant.

some people get through what life throws at them by relying on god i wish that i could. at least i've still got spirituality. and to u24, if i knew what pantheistic meant, i'd tell you what you meant. is that like the pantheon? (i learned something from ancient studies) then maybe you mean that you don't believe in one true god....but i could be wrong

I'd say your pretty damn contridict...ural? Pantheist is a believer and worshiper in all gods. An atheist is one who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods. So can can you believe in no gods, yet worship all of them, or believe in all gods, yet woship none?

"and kookaburra was ripe for bokononism..." Nicki, my guess would be yes, both and neither, with a side of cheddar sauce please. possibly a little heavy on the first, but that's my particular leaning, so feh.

I like to think that any true "religion" (as defined as a system of beliefs and guidlines one chooses to follow)had ultimately stemmed from atheism, and that anyone who can conciously(sp?) attach themselves to ANY form or fashion of religion should readily admit that their own views on their particular secular advancement is due to their own personal experiences and mindframes garnered fr0m such. No person can claim that they have the inside skinny on any religious "head of state" as it were, and that the things that drive and console them must, therefore, be based on their own impressions and interpretations of the things they have experienced. If thats the case then we're all athiest who have a particular flavor associated with what we like to say we follow.

god created us, so obviously he knows what we will do in every situation. but if he is in a sense controlling us, then why do people kill, or become atheists. oh, maybe its the devil thats doing this... yes the devil!! (heres a great scapegoat) but wait, isn't the devil defying gods will by turning us to hateful deeds? yes he is. doesnt that make him more powerful than god? he did overcome gods wish for us to be good and peaceful. but god is all powerful... hmmmm... it seems we have a bit of a paradox here. "i have found the glitch in the matrix"

Once that God had finished creating the world and stuff, he saw that was good, but for some reason he still felt lonely, and had no partner to play poker with. So God created the Devil, which he named Lucifer (in respect of his favourite beer), and, the eighth day, at around 23:40, the two of them were playing together around a table in God's Club. God was tired of all his work and was quite drunk, and played quite bad, and was loosing everything he had. When the Devil asked him if he wanted to bet his underpants on the next game, God said : "oh come on, I can't bet that, it's a present from my mother, but I created this planet last week, you know, Earth... I will bet it on that game, but you will bet everything you have on your side, because it's a worthy possession." The Devil agreed. And they played the last game. Nobody knows the end of the tale, but I have this strange feeling that the Devil won it, for some reason. Would explain a lot of things, huh ?

the devil didnt win, the heck monster did. the heck monster never makes just bad people or just good people. he loved proportions in school so he made each person a different proportion of good and bad. how did the heck monster catch ahold of the world you ask? he was the dog sitting under the table in gods club. he jumped up and grabbed the world after the devil and god passed out. "the heck monster did so love obedience school"
