dB Ok, this is where I want to move to when opportunity presents itself. I'm not sure why, but the place has always fascinated me and I've always wanted to live there despite never having been there before.
Anyone on blather from there? What's it like?

*Much Peace*

nocturnal at work I've been there. it was in july and it was freezing. well, maybe I'm just saying that because I think 70 degrees is freezing, but I had to wear jeans and a sweater and that pissed me off. that's all I can really say about san fran. 010607

Special K If I were hoping to fall in love, it would be where I would start.

(Incidentally, you'll have a tough time finding relocation services online unless you adjust your spelling...)

dB Yeah, I know my TYPING sucks, not my spelling as such. I have a new keyboard, not only that, it's not an ergonomic keyboard (which I have been using for about a year now), so I'm trying to adjust to this new thing, but unfortunately my tryping is suffering something shocking.

I apologise for any typing/spelling mistakes in advance.

talen i moved to san francisco from sydney. it was cool very cool, but still america, not australia :) i met some cool people, there were cool places, and you know the city has this vibe that you don't get everywhere else - it's special, somehow. 010607

enriquecito in the battle between east coast and west, with tempers flaring left and right and snobbishness like you've never seen emerging from the woorwork, you never know who you can trust. so I put my trust in Old Blue Eyes: I love New York, but I left my heart in San Francisco. 010608

enriquecito by the way... the spelling of this entire page is wrong. nudge, miss special k. named after st. francis, thus san francisco. 010608

Special K I've been drinking again. Stop me before I'm honest.

Last time I was, my censors were down and I received a summary reprimand...

Chris Carter San Francisco is my favorite city. I lived in the Bay area for 2 1/2 years, and it was unforgettable. Best place to live, in my opinion: near Lake Merritt in Oakland. It is near Berkely, near the subway (BART), reasonable rents, and much quieter than the city. Save the visits to the City for the weekends, or your job.

what I loved: the architecture, the natural beauty, the weather (not too hot or too cold); the variety of the city; the traces of bohemian culture; and a certain morphic resonance that I have never experienced anywhere else. Boost your resume with some classes or good experience, and move there when the economy picks up.

silentbob Choking on the thought of leaving
Drinking to keep from sobbing
4pm, 4 dollar pints - SFO - the time and price

With all my happiness aborted
The PA painfully starts boarding
I sink deep, 30 thousand feet
Into my window seat, electric chair
And I was drinking you goodbye
A heart floats in the bay
From sour home Chicago
I hear it beating far away
There's no telling what I'll do
If I don't return to you

Hopeful thoughts of soon returning
can't put out my stomach burning
Plastic wings and plastic smiles
Unsalted peanuts stretch my miles

Choking on the thought of leaving
Drinking to keep from heaving
5pm, 5 dollar pints - Hellbound Airlines - time and price
And I was drinking you goodbye
A heart floats in the bay
From sour home Chicago
I hear it beating far away
There's no telling what I'll do
If I don't return to you

I was drinking you goodbye
A heart floats in the bay
From sour home Chicago
I hear it beating far away
There's no telling what I'll do
If I don't return to you

counterentity like most other major cities, sf has its irresistable charm. more liberal than most, it is a place that engages the senses on a journey through the calzones of little italy to the high class designer stores of union square. i love it here and couldn't imagine anywhere else i'd rather be for the next four years. always something to do and see, it's where i drink my worries away. 031026

white_wave it's beautiful and ugly. it has an eery creepy kind of victorian charm. i've visited many times, and i feel some part of me has lived there, even though I never did. sometimes it makes me think of coldness and filth. it's strange how it also feels like a spiritual haven. i can find deep peace in it's chaos. it's prettier than many large U.S. cities. A highly populated city has to have some harsh, frightening qualities to give it excitement. Otherwise it's just an overgrown suburb. 040222
