These strings hate me, and that’s a pretty solid fact, no matter how much I practice, how much effort I put into reproducing amazing compositions, the strings thwart my ambitions with their evil plans of additional, unintentional noises. My only theory as to why they are so inclined is that they are rebelling against being twanged. It could just be I'm crap though.

one of the strange corners of science i has yet have no grasp on... if you have even some vague sort of sense of it, come let me pick your brain... i'm not looking for mass amounts of technical knowledge, i get the feeling this has some in common with quantum_physics as far as it being more of an intuitive grasp than hard concepts... but that still leaves me knowing nothing. and this is unacceptable. please?

hey! no learnin' while i'm tryin' to be learnin'! especially when you're the one that reminded me that i needed to be learnin'! i'm gonna tell daf... i mean dad... i mean... aw, alright... i guess as long as you don't smell funny. *grin* seriously, though, *someone* out there has got to be able to enlighten us... we'll even both shut up for a minute while we read it... and coming from the two of us (as i presumptuously speak for 'phebe), that's quite an accomplishment. ;) don't make me go dredging into my past love life for the proper type of geek... i think he may have gone feral on ayn_rand a while back...

if you would like to debate the virtues or lack thereof of ayn_rand, bring it to ayn_rand, as i'm sure we could get quite lengthy. i'm a bit rusty, but in the past i've been rabid on both sides. *grin* this has been a public service announcement for the "give misstree a bone to chew on so she'll stop harassing us" committee

i'm not physicist, but i'll play one to day on the aolintarwebnet.com: string theory was invented to bridge the gap between gravity and quantum mechanics. science has a difficult time describing forces and matter on a quantum scale when they occupy the same point in space(time). String theory describes that single point as rather a small but finite distance, and within its mathematics, the numbers make sense. This indicates that there is much work to be done on a more unified mathematics, however until that day arrives, we will continue to be baffled by differences in scale, and will continue to derive different systems of mathematics to describe different systems of data.

okay, between those two i have a less vague notion... drat... i've got the perfect resource in my backyard, not the ayn_rand cultist, but i'm too, i dunno, too something to call him. maybe curiosity will drive me to the phone. maybe i will live in ignorance. maybe tad will save dixie from erica's evil machinations. tune in next decade to "tree, get some sleep already!"

what about sympathetic reverberations as it relates to ah calculating infinite spaces across temporal threshold, and wave amplitude as it relates to string theory um again i'm trying to muster the correct verbiage or jargon - umm too right brained i guess - anyway yeah what about it though, can the principals of string theory be used to thread all things into some kind of construct or nexus approximating a unified field theory? not really a science adept so i'd appreciate an informed response without the maddening calculations - later ...

according to superstringtheory.com: We still don't know what the fundamental theory behind string theory is, but judging from all of these relationships, it must be a very interesting and rich theory. hmm.. so.. it's... just a bunch of weird maths made up to explain the as yet inexplicable? anyone care to counter this argument?

not me brah..i don't even have a rudimentary grasp..or the verbiage/mathematical language to even attempt to postulate..let alone dispute or refute..could someone out there among the learned and restive ampitheatre of blatherdom give me something i can use..or at least wrap my right brained mind around? a little transposition in the key of "C" if you please..

okay so i get the whole erecting an apparatus to perhaps quantify..to er move around in the realm of quantum mechanics per se..but there is something inchoate nibbling at the edges of my temporal lobes..does not string theory represent an oppurtunity to more accurately quantify..no..wrong term..to discuss temporal and dimensional relationships that may be adumbrative on a quantum level..? anyone?
