the confusion of it all

the odd combination of vegetarian and drug addiction which really makes no sense because on the one hand you're heading for disaster and on the other hand trying to prevent disease

the only reason I don't eat meat is because teh texture and flavour and the thought of eating flesh make me feel ill. I don't care about the animals dying - it's what they're bred to do.

animals shouldnt be bred to die in harsh environments and small cages it is their "living" conditions that many people should be concerned about anyways

i once enjoyed eating meat, but the treatment of most animals eaten in this country (USA) has become ATROCIOUS. to not care is to be either ignorant or heartless. do some research, or admit to ignorance. here, i'll make it easy: http://worldanimalfoundation.homestead.com/index.html go to "farm animals" ======= the two most effective things anyone can do to improve the state of life on this planet: 1) minimize the quantity of your offspring 2) minimize consumption of animal products ======= if you don't understand why these are both so important you really owe it to yourself and the world to do some research ======= both can be a challenge because of habit, and it doesn't make someone a bad person for not following through with either; but by totally not caring, one shows that humans are really not any better than animals. ======= appeals to human superiority are the number one argument used by meat-eaters to defend meat-eating. yet then they choose to ignore the treatment of the animals eaten, as would the 'beasts' they claim superiority over. indeed, most 'beasts' exercise great discretion about what they eat. ======= -and- the argument that humans are naturally carnivorous is bogus. research the diet of various apes and orangutans and bonobos etc; they rarely if ever eat meat. =======

You'll get sick, then, and experience painful, unceasing fits of vomitous wretching. My parents are toxic to creatures such as you, and should you choose to ingest them, you will only bring horrific writhing unto your gut that lasts forever and ever as you barf more and more, barfing faster and harder.

i've been a vegetarian for two years running and i have more fun cooking now than i ever did. i've tried different ethnic foods i probably wouldn't have tried. i mean i've always liked to cook, but the challenge of making tasty food without meat makes it more exciting somehow. i'm still afraid of those weird soy/meatless products like seitan and tempeh. i leave those to the experts at the co_op.

(most of my family picks at me about it now since it doesn't seem to be a passing phase. but my mother frets about it. she's adapted pretty nicely though. the last time i went home, she had a family cookout and made pasta with the italian sausage in a separate pan. she's so cute sometimes)

Given: You are what you eat. It stands to reason, then, that A) as cows eat grass, B) and that grass is a plant, c) cows are therefore vegetables. I'm a porterhouse vegetarian, baby!
