globalfruitbat just got home from seeing this--so mazing. no words for explaining it. Last time I saw a movie in the theatre that affected me this much, it was Amelie, in grade 12, which was two and a half years ago. 040901

sweetheart of the song tra bong I'm okay with being unimpressive. I sleep better.

The soundtrack is killer, and it will be disastrous if I put it on my iPod, because then I will walk around with a constant Zach-Braff-confused-numb face and find deep beautiful emo meanings in all the little things I do.

nemo ehh it was ok.. i could have lived without the last airport scene. it was a tad bit too much for me... it seemed like it was trying too hard to be a surreal dawsons creek chick flick yet artistic and creative teenage angst movie. yet another sweeps the us. the soundtrack was good. i have no idea why my boyfriend took me to go see that, it was a nice gesture though. thoughts count for something 040909

silentbob he's probably emo.
it bothers me that our society deems anything dealing with emotion as feminine, aka chick flick.
This was written, directed, and starred zach braf.
I wish we could stop gendering emotion.
both sexes feel emotion. both sexes liked this movie.

Strideo I liked the part where the main character talks about how you grow up and realize that your old house isn't home anymore. I could really relate to that feeling for a while in my life, just not feeling at home anymore, anywhere, not even the place you live.

It doesn't help when your old family breaks apart.

lisavilisa Running back to the girl is a cliche, but it's such an old one that now wirters usually make the characters do the opposite, creating a backlash cliche. So it's damned if you do damned if you don't.
Loved the Movie though, can't wait to watch it again.

silentbob I like that in the preview is the postal service
but in the movie
and on the soundtrack
is iron and wine covering the postal_service which was only on their little EP they had, where the shins also covered them

pete just watched it. in fact it ended over an hour ago. i might watch it again. it comes back on tv in about an hour. missed the first bit due to issues with the antenna which have been since worked out. 080101

pete so i stayed up and watched it again. snowy the whole way through. after listening to music on my headphones for a few hours the sound filling the room was odd, but in a good way. after the movie ended i went to bed listening to one of the burnt cds i had on between the two screenings. that had to be the lightest-yet deepest- least constant-yet fulfilling- and vivid-yet already forgotten dream-filled sleep i've had in a while. 080102

unhinged for awhile after watching this movie recently, i decided to shake my booty in front of at least one other person everyday. i made a lot of people smile. especially when i pretended to salsa.

i made my friend andy try to guess what song i was shaking it to. he's a drummer. his guess was horrible. does that mean i'm a bad dancer?

unhinged this is my secondary favorite love story ever

i initially loved it cause the town he goes back to was a very close approximation for what it felt likefor me to go back to youngstown. i stopped going back there. in fact, some might say i fleed in the opposite direction. some parts of me finally feel at home in seattle.
