i got an amazing one with interpretation from cafeastrology.com the most accurate one i have ever been read. if this is bullshit, how could a computer program tell me intimate details of my personality based on where and when i was born? the_fundamental_interconnectedness_of_all_things

not so sure why they are variable; sometimes it is because of me. i vacillate between 1900 and 1930 as the time i was born. cause i can't quite remember what my mom told me. our very own daf wrote his own program for generating natal charts which has to do with calculating arcs and such of planets and stars at some point in the past specific to latitude....so it's all mathematically complicated and stuff. the last one i did that was mostly eerily accurate i used 1900 as the time i was born. some aspects do change in the space of a half hour, most specifically i can say the ascendant. there is actually a lot more math and science involved than skeptics want to admit....you know who you are. but then again, i have a pisces moon so i lean towards the mystical anyways ;-)

mine fits me with uncanny precision. the chart for someone born three hours later does not fit me nearly so well, and the chart for someone born one week later does not fit me at all. there is no point trying to convince skeptics of astrology's usefulness: it begets introspection, and as such i care not what others think of it.

i'm beginning to learn that there's actually not so much variability, that its a pure mandala that we tweak a little this way and that. like venus is to represent values, but there's a little value represent every part of the chart, so venus resides where we emphasize what seems valuable to us. i don't really think it's the only way to wisdom, but your natal_chart can focus your mind in ways difficult to do without... also, the more impersonal the better. i happen to have a birthchart from a certain time period, but what if given slightly different circumstances i were to incarnate 9 months prior (or something, i just chose that to represent the other side of the venus cycle of 18 months) or after. could the birthchart be a response to circumstances, or a starting point with a given destiny to learn from? these things aren't clear, but I do know that asking a person to deviate too strongly from their birthchart is undeniably asking too much. on the other hand, having fixed expectations based solely on a planet layout also stifles the matter. the mandala view, with the planets in arranged in a way that correlates with the person involved, is the limit to how much astrology can really do. (but what it can do is really cool). wanting to reign in my neuroticism about it, though, i've hidden my ephemeris with the intention of throwing it away when the time feels right. because i just don't even want to pretend that it's relevant in any vital way to know exactly where, for instance, Venus is transitting. (like now, Taurus. i can deal well with interactions that increase self-worth any day! and it would be lazy not to include them on just any day...)

timelyness... some_believe some consciously choose to come to Earth under certain conditions and for certain purposes. if you were to choose them and if thereally'something to the positioning of heavenly_bodies that allows for certain outcomes then you're sent i ally choosing to enter a "structure". and there's that whole structure_function_thing that nature underscores enough to make even blather more_than a_tad jealous. so a predetermined function might choose a structure which allows for, well, fun... ction. (fun? you ask? you did get here through at least one_good_orgasm i pray.) now why would the aven ly bodies positions matter? liken them to molecules, atoms and other things too small to argue with ;-) it'structure getting qualities from. it's the way you arrange the little pieces that makes one cup taste like orange_juice and one milk. i propose our souls from quite far away (far enough in fact th@ distance_begins_to_look_like_time) are choosing to enter theirespective OJ/milk dispositions by choosing galaxies wh i_c h appear to have those functional_structures.

in that case, we would be space tourists, or time tourists (if you want to just stay on earth) or space/time tourists... using earth and its resources for whatever pleasure or motivation landed us here in the first place. could be good/bad/neutral/more complicated. what is clear is that there is some kind of nepenthe before we get here, but memories of the past or the future, or some favoured or despised planet still lie underneath it all. if one is completely living in the now, why bother with the planets at nativity?
