It's an assumption, and assumptions, at the end of the day, are the mother of all fuck ups.

If you think it is bogus, then ignore it. Why assault others for finding meaning in it? I am often amazed by the hostile attitude some feel towards mysticism and astrology. Personally, I prefer the term "Astromancy", but the -mancy-ness is a tenuous one....

i guess i've had to come to the conclusion that i don't have a strongly astrological astrology chart. not to debunk astrology as a whole, but for my own personal sake, consider it dismissed. following the stars is just not worth it. spiritually speaking, it might very well be like taking herbs to cure cancer. it might be for living one's life remedially, although i'm probably going too far if i make a generalization on that one. unless somebody wants to give me a free reading or work with me a little to convince me of its worth and value (i refuse to pay for "bad news"), i'm moving on to other things. i'm sorry that it didn't turn out better. i suppose my progressed full moon is just telling me to be more determinant with my life, and since it's not the fast-track, more patient with its outcomes. self-advice, unpaid for. but it's not necessarily productive, and not a solace or a reason for celebration. (have an aversion to gambling for long periods of time, but still feel stuck with it, due to astrological analysis. yay.)

if nothing else, astrology is a tool for self-reflection. to each his own, then...

disappointed, i guess, because discussing astrology, and generalizing about it, inevitably turns one into something foolish... wish it were discussable.

have you ever had a complete chart drawn up for yourself? cafeastrology.com they will do a free one for you. it was the most accurate chart i've ever had done. i believe in astrology. i use it on a regular basis to help me understand the people around me and how we might or should interact. my favorite horoscope: freewillastrology.com

of course i have. astro.com gives you a big selection of different types of charts -- transits, progressions, solar returns, composite, etc. freewillastrology is how i got started, because that one can be very provocative, but i don't read it anymore... because i'm a little more sophisticated about seeking advice. i've actually started going through astrology books and picking out the one or two sentences that i find to be an accurate generalization of a sign, and then the rest is just a prejudicial stereotype. i've been pretty thorough about it. i've gone to four conferences, even, and while i find some of the stuff at conferences to be okay to be "open" to (if you've got the time), chances are it's mostly hogwash... and intellectual gambling. freewillastrology isn't too horrible, philosophically, i just don't need that sort of advice. i could use a bunch of jargon to describe why i think my chart isn't very "astrological" .... suffice it to say that it's just a toes-in-the-water kind of chart.... and what if i didn't want to think about it so symbolically, so densely? what use studying astrology?!

i try not to base decisions about people on it, but i find signs are often fitting also fitting is that when i have a strong feeling about what sign someone is, i'm always right

i did come down strong about this, and I'll have to think about what I've said. still, I use astrology far too often to really dismiss it. that would be dishonest! but also dishonest is taking star patterns far too seriously and literally, too specially. life trumps it, and most of the time it's okay not to use the crutch of astrology. once the theory's in place, though, it's hard to back off -- i suppose it's the same with anything that we becomes convinced of in theory.

i'm not sure about the bimbo part (though i will admit i have my moments) but i definitely can whine, much of which is evidenced on these blue pages.
