jerusalem
missionary For thousands of years, ancient prophetic texts have proclaimed that one day the Future City of Jerusalem will be the World's_Capital_City where God Himself will displace The_Beast, or the evil antichrist system that counterfeits God, and Establish Earth as the King's Palace (or Throne) in a Kingdom that extends over the entire Universe.

Of course, world_peace must first come, and wars, earthquakes, plagues and diseases, weather anomalies and a global economic collapse.

But, reading the news lately, it seems it may come sooner than later. It's already been suggested by Middle Eastern Government Officials to the European_Union as a possible end to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
Interestingly enough, according to these same ancient texts, it all started with a guy named Jebus and it all ends with a guy named Jesus.

crazy monee makes nonsense maybe if we all drew pictures of people with horns growing out of their heads
and we all looked at those pictures everyday generation after generation for thousands of years believing eventually people would grow horns out of their heads
then maybe all of our thinking would eventually cause horns to start growing out of peoples' heads
or maybe people would start implanting horns in their own heads just so they could believe in themselves

monee maybe horns in heads wasn't a great example,

oh well

if there was a drift there i hope somebody got it

monee i just mean that if a bunch of people believe in something long enough, maybe they might make it come true (whatever it is and however it does)

personally i think the world has seen enough wars and i don't think we need to go through some great world hellstorm in order to make it a peaceful world

i'd just like it if we could skip the whole armageddon thing and get straight to the lovin and rejoicin

(The return of) The Spork My biggest gripe right now is that any number of apocalypse-obsessed and politically motivated "Christians" have taken such an active role in exacerbating the conflicts in the Middle East that one would think that they are trying to force God's hand and bring about the beginning of the End now just so they can live out their Tim LaHaye-inspired rapture fantasy.

Honestly, most of the non-Jews who are so quick to offer political support for the Israeli government's actions in recent years vis-a-vis the Palestinian Conflict are the same people who have frequently, stereotypically and historically been among the WORST Anti-semites and have only recently become Zionists not because they actually care about Jews, or the Israeli people, but because they want to fulfill some piece of biblical prophecy about the role a reconstructed Temple would have in relation to that prophecy.

So while they talk out of one side of their faces about the sacredness and value of life, out of the other they will encourage any amount of death, bloodshed, misery and political instability to achieve their end-of-the-world wet dream.

The Spork The Literalist/Fundamentalist types get the order of events wrong as the mention of the "Great Tribulation" PRECEDES the lines upon which Rapture theology is predicated.

Assuming we take things as inerrantly literal, The Tribulation will take place BEFORE the events where "Two men are in the field, One will be taken, one will be left, Two women will be grinding at the mill - One will be taken, one will be left

To me, LaHaye, Robertson, Lindsey and Van Impe and that sort are the false prophets of Matthew 24:23-26

"23At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect–if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.

26“So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the desert,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it."

The Dispensationalists (and Hagee is the worst of them) spend less time focusing on the teachings of Christ and more time focusing on dividing up history into epochs by which to calculate the date of The End of The World, which as a former churchgoer, I recognize flies in the face of later lines in the same Chapter of the Gospel According to Matthew (24:36, 42)

36 - “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father

42 - Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come

So, in my mind, these new Zionists, these Rapture-nuts are presuming to second-guess their God - and we all know what He thinks about that sort of thing now don't we, Kids?

lyric me this a place that reminds me of the word jewish because of the first two letters. oh, and if you say it kind of fast, "jeru" sounds like "jrew," which slightly sounds like "jew." and if you say "salem" kind of fast, it sounds like "slem," which doesn't sound like "ish." so... not much relevance between "salem" and the word jewish... 071215
