(don't tell me this has been up and running for three years without an entry on these Springsteen lovin, backwards hat wearin, roofie slippin, bud drinkin, my dad-just-bought-me-a-beemer drivin, society-of-rape bastards? No? Well, here you go then:) fratboys are repressed homosexuals who prefer lesbian porn so it isn't sullied by the sight of a cock, which is what they secretly desire and fear their fratmates will discover.

live for the high and low and the sick and the weird and for the fuck that they can get for the money they spent to buy their friends. But then again I don't know any. I only go on the sterotypes.

sterotypes wouldn't be offensive without the grain of truth that pervades in them.

i was a frat boy for like a year i wasnt very popular though because i didnt participate in their stupidity it isnt about what you guys have said though its more about group_think and how much you are willing to surrender to it oggling women, drinking booze, and repressing homo desires are all part of that because its something that everyone does together, even though its real dumb, even though everyone knows it is

Based only on what I've observed from the outside and of fratboys' behavior in the "business" world, I believe j's view is accurate. You don't see fratboys in occupations that require a lot of original or independent thinking. It is fratboys especially that think "teamwork" is a good thing (when what it usually is in the real world is a way to avoid individual thinking and responsibility).

I always hated having to work in a team in class in elementry school. My old English teacher even tried to get me to write a story with two other people! It was impossible. I got a great big F. Fratboys starts with an F...

i know some fratboys...the ones that i talk to on a regular basis are actually nice but do seem to be wrapped up in their own money and place in society. we drove all the way to mount union to see ivet play at this frat party and to sell cds for them. every one of them looked at me a little askew as if they weren't quite sure whether it was all the beer or i actually did know all the words to a little-known rock band. not one of them bought a cd because they had already spent all their money on beer. i can still see frank and mark rolling around in the broken glass and fratboy piss and me having a mother fit. what i never did understand is why beer? if you have enough money to buy your friends you could at least drink good hard liquor. come on now.

Yes, Give me rum and coke anyday. Beer gives fratboys gas too. (blech.) But I think it is quantity over quality. Where i'm from the fratboys used to drink "USA" beer, (Aka: yoU Save Alot. Beer.) It was this generic beer in a little round bottle like Red Stripe, but it cost like $7 or $8 per 24 pack. That way you could get LOTS of it.

but if you go to the right places (i.e. any kmart in ohio) you can get hard liquor damn cheap too. $6 for a bottle of 42 proof schnapps...that does it for me. and it tastes better too.

It's been a while, and I have grown older and more mature. I have learned that generalizations are harsh and innacurate. As a matter of fact, I have grown very close to a few people who were once active members of their social fraternity. Not a single stereotype I once held seems to apply to either of these fellows. I am glad I ventured outside my "box" to explore beyond the stereotypes.

its the closest equivalent we have to fraternities, so i like to think of them as fratboys in my head. its terrible because my logical brain goes 'no!'. but my hindbrain goes 'mmmm. fratboys.' what can i say? they all have this look which just appeals to me.
