When I was in kindergarten, the passing out of crayons worked like this - the teacher put them all in a basket, which was then passed down the rows of kids alphebetically, each child taking 3 or 4. Well, my last name srats with W, so by the time they got to me, all that was left was black.
Many years later, when I was 15, I was heavily into Marilyn Manson, wearing about 4 times the eyeliner I needed to and cutting myself, I told my therapist it all went back to Kindergarten and having nothing to color with but black crayons. Who knows, it might even be true.

My wall is yellow. Bright yellow. Once I got some "Bath Crayons", you could use them to draw on walls because they come out easily. In my yellow window I drew a very big insect... I think it's green and blue, with red eyes... funny I don't remember because it's still there... funny a grown up girl draws an insect on her wall. That's what crayons do to you... I agree, they are magical little things.
