blah-ze will have to redecorate in graphic gore, board up all the windows, and mute the lighting to a bloodlessly pale green. perfect for a night of wholesale slaughter.

blah-ze room two, upstairs next to the balcony, 120 bucks a week.

australian bucks, that is.

it has a small brown fridge full of coke, half a three litre plastic bottle of milk (full cream), half of a two litre carton of OJ, and one container of margarine. a small white cabinet wih no handles holds half a loaf of bread, a jar of vegimite, a bag of carrots, four apples, a plate, a bowl, two spoons, two forks, a box and a half of museli bars, a sharp knife, a butter knife, a mug, two instant noodle packets, two tins of tuna (but no can opener), a tea towel, a jar of laundry detergent, a small bottle of washing-up detergent, a scourer, a steel wool, a sponge (dirty), and one jar of peanut butter.

there are two beds in the room. i sleep on the one near the wall. on the other one is my wallet and keys.

the tv is set near the window, which looks down the balcony. it picks up SBS, seven, and almost ABC.

the wardrobe has no doors. on the bottom it has a pair of boots, some socks, lots of underwear, and a bag of dirty washing. hanging up are two pairs of jeans and a few t-shirts. draped over a chair in front of the fan are is my dark blue lab coat, and the fan is going full-on so the room doesn't stink of off wine. thrown on the floor is my towel, which is ankle length, white-ish, and fluffy, piled of top is a bar of soap in a container and a toothbrush and tube of toothpaste. on the floor over by the door is my big yellow blanket and the backpack i take to work. in it is my folder, my pen, another folder they gave me, two museli bars, two water bottles, a small white annoying alarm clock, an apple, and a ten kilogram lump of iron with a rope through it. for reasons unknown.

there are two doors to my room. one leads into another room behind mine and has no handle. the guy staying there wakes me up with his alarm clock every day as i sleep through the day and keeps putting it on snooze to wake me up again two minutes later. i may yet have to kill him. above the door that works is a panel that hinges down to let in air. it doesn't work.

down the hall is the toilet and bathroom, with two shows and two loos, and the kitchen, with a large pile of dishes on the sink. i don't use their crockery or cutlery.

and this is my place for a few months longer. or until i find somewhere else.

pipers my room has a very high, slanted roof. a big window, and lots of sunshine. pink blinds that have to be changed. two beds, a dressing table, tables, desks, armchair, carpet...its bursting at the seams, i share it with my sister. books, candles, art stuff, posters. more books, clippings, comics, photographs stuck to the closets. its a tightly balanced equation of things and life, and i love it. 040125

blah-ze the place where i am staying is empty, for me. i am alone.

someone i work with had a room there. she moved out, and now i am alone. i wish i had have talked to her. she tried to talk to me, but i was too busy thinking about how much i would have liked to be able to talk to her to actually do it. and now she is gone and i have noone to talk to. i am alone.
