If it offends or repels you, there you have it. I've learned in my time outside of blather that we often see another through the preconceptions that we take with us. (And occasionally we see them very clearly.) You'll find that I'm long winded, often unamusing and occasionally insightful. I hide my heart in my poetry, where I like to share my observations of the world around me, so you'll get the closest impression of my true nature by reading my poems and feeling the empathy there that I feel for just about everyone I see. Some of my other stuff tends to be a product, not of the heart, but of the intellect. So it will generally be dry, pompous and this-is-what-I-think sort of rubbish. Some people enjoy it, some people react to it, in either event, a show of some sort often ensues. I'll make a point of reading your stuff too, and maybe that way, we'll get a better notion of who we each are. In any event, I certainly appreciate the fact that you are one of the few blatherers here that isn't just a SPEAKER, but also a MICROPHONE...listening as well as speaking. That is, and always will be the sign of a mind that attempts to stay true to the heart that guides it. Smurfus, I've seen your stuff around and appreciate the warm welcome. Thanks.
