Ok, here is the lowdown. Slipknot ripped off Rammstein, who ripped off Kiss. Please note that all these bands are not any good at music. They are good at what they do, but they are not good at music. Anyone can play 5th's and bar chords (ie, Kiss). When you tune your guitar to drop C, you no longer need to use power chords. Bar chords will do nicely. The kind of chords you only need one finger to play. Rediculously stupid. Drumming. 4/4. any dumb fucker can count to four. Bass - Snare - Bass - Snare. Repeditive. That is the Kiss drummer. Slipknot. Ok, so he has a triggered double kick. B = Bass Drum, S = Snare. BBBBSBBBBSBBBBSBBBBS/BBBBSBBBBSBBBBS Well you get the idea. The songs use the same chord progressions, and the same timing. And in alot of cases the same lyrical content. Sure they do that well. Give them a different form to use and they're fucked. Give them sheet music and they're fucked.
