Real nice. Bought a Meinl HH 15" crash on the weekend. They are actually really sweet for budget cymbals. I'm getting really attached to the damn thing. 010325 ... johnny west I've got a Tama kit and Sabian cymbals. I didn't really know what to buy, since I was never a drummer. So I just banged on a bunch of kits and found one that sounded good. I'd like to get some Zildjian cymbals, but I have to sell a digital mixer I don't use anymore to generate the cash. 010325 ... dB Yeah Tama make some nice drums. You playing a Swingstar or a Rockstar kit? Sabian stuff is ok, but it's too harsh for my liking. Paiste is my choice of cymbals. But if you want to get cheap cymbals that sound real nice, try out some Meinl stuff if you can find it. Really cheap, but very nice. 010325 ... retartedkidnameddamian i just purchased a 2001 pearl export select. im very pleased, actually bursting with joy. everyone should just give in, zildjian is the best. 010326 ... dB Zildjians are nice, I'll give them that. In many ways they are nicer than Paiste, but I preffer a consitant cymbal. Paistes you can mix and match easily and get a great crash that compliments the ride and a china that compliments the crash. Zildjians are great cymbals, no doubt about that, but they vary alot. You can get 3 16" A Crashes and have three completely different sounds. Pear are nice Kits too, they make some real mice Maple kits, but the hardware is what I don't like. 010326 ... retartedkidnameddamian axis makes ungodly hardwear. their pedals are amazing. if only they didnt cost like 230 dollars apeice on sale for a single pedal, i would buy one. about the zildjians, thats true, but thats what makes them so good, uniqueness. 010328 ... dB Yeah. But also makes Zildjian annoying. I have been trying for two years to find a Ping Ride that I like. I mean, I like all of them, but I have to find "the one", but man I love those cymbals. Axis? You mean those pedals that have a ber instead of a cam-chain? I don't like the look of those.
