girl_jane I closed the box early on, but it started out something like…

She said something about the world being “disturbing,” and I asked how so. She said something about do I really need examples-look around. So I told her I guess I really don’t pay attention to things like that and this is what followed.

i'm just making the point that one of the reasons the world is the way it is is due to apathy.

God isn't human-God doesn't get tired-He's perfect and we are far from that

and most people give up or take a break or something-but there gets to be a point where if you give anymore of yourself-you'll be nothing but a pile of mush that's not good for anything because you're so worn down

i guess i don't think that means you should stop trying.

man, i'm sick of it, too. but i'm not gonna stop trying. then i'd just be doing something i hate.

i don't know-i've been accused of caring too much and been told to start taking myself into consideration-take care of my own problems first before i take care of everybody else's

but i'm still there for the people who really need me

i know...that's the point-everybody is trying to fix everybody else-we know ourselves better than other people-we know what pieces go where-so why aren't we gluing ourselves together instead of having other people try to do it for us and they end up gluing our eyes to our butts

then at least you have something to think about. that you're trying to stop someone else, so you know you can't.

and i come back to the conclusion it's disturbing.

disturbing-yes-but that's life-and people get used to it

i guess it's not any better than looking at someone's problems and realizing you have the same ones.

well-if you fix your own you're selfish-if you fix their's you're a hypocrite

right-so-you be selfish for a while and then help others be selfish so they can fix their problems too

i guess that's where apathy comes in. people don't want to be selfish and they don't want to hypocritic. so they just don't care any more.
