Q Having regretted every raise I've taken, I vote awareness. 000927
silentbob raise it. live it. breathe it. make yourself aware of everything. inform everyone on everything you learn. talk hard. fight censorship. 010104
miniver reason it. think it. understand it. allow yourself awareness of only one small thing, that it should be a worthwhile, thorough awareness. listen to everyone on everything you would like to learn. talk soft. understand censorship, and make your own informed decisions about its implications and applications. 010104
kx21 'it' is more than 'itself',
'you' is more than 'yourself'...
kx21 IT is more than ITSELF,
YOU is more than YOURSELF...
silentbob raise it. live it. breathe it. make yourself aware of everything. inform everyone on everything you learn. talk hard. fight censorship. repeat what you say until the point is gotten. 010104
rollins Go without a coat when it's cold; find out what cold is. Go hungry; keep your existence lean. Wear away the fat, get down to the lean tissue and see what it's all about. The only time you define your character is when you go without. In times of hardship, you find out what you're made of and what you're capable of. If you're never tested, you'll never define you character. 010106
kx21 And IT is less than ITSELF,
YOU is less than YOURSELF

phil I was looking at my computer screen.
I have been wearing an eye patch all day, losing depth perception when I cover my right eye, and size when I cover my left eye.
I was looking at the computer screen through my right eye, and I saw soemthing moving, at first I thought it was the screen, it was redish purple in color, like bubbling lights.
But it wasn't on the computer screen, it was my eye. Millions of small maggot like microrganisms thriving on my eyeball, and as I looked it evoked strong feelings, to think these things were on my eye, all the time, I wanted to clean them off, it was hellish.
But now I think it was just the water on my eyeball, congealing and moving around, like jello.
To think that is what the world we cannot see is like, all the time.
The first time I had ever seen anything like that, through my eye.
This perseption I have of the world, through my senses, is so limited, it seems scary, but that is just a feeling in my body, probably from horror shows I watched as a kid. Maybe it is like that, nothing is as important as it seems, ot as we make it out to be. And that's not bad or wrong to feel that way, that is just the way it is, and that's the way everybody else sees it.
epitome_of_incomprehensibility It annoys me when people say their raising awareness for some cause when they're not really doing anything. Still, I know I should be less selfish and more concerned about the world around me too, so...yeah. Question of the day: if I admit that I'm a hypocrite, does that mean I'm not a hypocrite anymore? 050729

unhinged my echoing_thought
like loud music in an empty gymnasium
bouncing around in my cavernous skull

then the skin on my left wrist
starts to itch
give me something concrete
to cling to

soon my nostrils
are clogged with tears
my mindfulness stuck
on the big hole in the center of my chest
awakened_heart =

i had all these better things to say
and they flitted away
all that was left
the swelling, pink puffiness
of the salt left_behind
unhinged i hurt you too
i wasn't honest with you either

we weren't compatible
we don't need to pretend to be friends
e_o_i You mean "THEY'RE raising awareness," past self. They're, their, there. Different things.

(Zeke, you're right. The way my question was framed, it wouldn't really result in a paradox.)
unhinged 'it's so important to bring mindfulness and awareness to a relationship at any stage but especially to falling in love because those qualities make the difference between being actually loving and negotiating something' - susan piver 170519
