Doar Well, lets just say the reference section of the library will require some carpet and furniture replacement quite soon. 040823 ... realistic optimist the advice i received from my uncle (and then unofficial guardian) upone being driven to college was: "choose your friends." this was perhaps some of the best advice i have received to date. i have made it my mission to surround myself with wonderful and inspiring people ever since, and consider myself blessed for the amazing people whom i have the honor to call my friends. i've been helped out of some itensely hairy situations, often without my having to ask. and these people have helped inspire me to become more than i would have on my own. *clinks glass to monitor* "to well-chosen friends!" 040823 ... Hey guys, you seem to be nice people, right? Well to tell you the truth I have been having some downright nasty friend problems over the past year. Ok, so it might sound like I am moaning [again] but I am really sick of it. The problem is I don’t really know what I have done. I suppose it really started at the beginning of this year when both sides of our year joined together to have lessons with each other. One of my friends in particular was really nasty when I started to reform a friendship with an old friend. Ok, I admit we were pretty close before; it’s not jealousy, is it? Well to keep you up to date with goings on I got an email from another friend in our close-nit friendship circle. Basically she wanted to find out why I was acting weird with everyone in the circle. Why did I think there was one set of rules for me and one for everyone else? Apparently everyone in the circle had been saying stuff behind my back about me and what I was doing to them. They had a sleep over, I couldn’t go. Apparently they spent all the time they were together discussing me. I found this out, funnily enough, from the person I had reformed a friendship with. Is this really all my fault? Ok, so I admit it I am not perfect. I said I could go to a theme park with a one of these said friends because otherwise she would be on her own, but then my parents came up trumps and told me I couldn’t go because they had to pay for a wedding, well the clothes ect for it. So I told her. Hey!! Big mistake. I got this really nasty txt of her saying that if I was a real best mate then I wouldn’t have let her down. I could have taken the money from my other friends and gone on this trip! Apparently she didn’t need a friend like that and it was about either taking the money and being a real best friend or being a bitch. Apparently she knew which one of them I was. Ok, so have I blathered too much? I could tell you about the time I went to a pop gig thing [pop is sooo not my thing] with a bunch of people which turned out disastrous, but I wont bore you anymore. I know I always write essays, but can anyone help me? I know it is up to me what I do but hey, a little advice goes a long way guys!
