There are only a select few people who I can stand to listen to for long periods of time. The rest of the population makes my eyes glaze over. The people who I find most interesting are the artists, poets, and philosophers. These are conversations which I can involve myself in. These are the people who have the most respect for my thoughts. These are also the people who find me the most sexually attractive. These are the thinkers, the ones who don't go-with-the-flow, these are people with far-out ideas. I think a lot of people listen to an 'out-there' artist, and dismiss him/her as crazy. But when I find them fascinating...brilliant, if you will. Regardless of whether or not I agree with his/her theories. They speak of ideas, and feelings. Many of which vary from the norm. Many of which they are incredibly passionate about. Finding one is a very rare occurrence indeed, but when you have, you know you've struck gold.

I often find myself in the company of wise and learned creatures Who feed their souls upon sight and sound who call out their songs and stories to the night of our existance

I know exactly what you are talking about. The only person that I can say I'm attached to is a great thinker. Not a philosophy freak, or a great theorist, but a brilliant mind. She was my from teacher in high school. I met her when she came out of teacher training college. There is no "relationship" thing going on between us as most people suspect, but she is my mentor and she bears the same dissmissiveness towards humanity that I do. We sit and talk for hours about how stupid people are, how old the universe is, how crap it is to be a teacher, theories about gods and the like. Unfortunately I don't see her much these days. Got too much work on. (check out my other post for something really cool about that). Great minds are few and far between. That's why I think this site is so great. Some brilliant people on here.

I preffer the term lovers, poets & fighters. That is something I can relate to. Except the lover part. Can't stand all that love crap. and the poet part. I do songs not poems. And the fighter part. But that's only because everyone runs away before I get a chance to have a decent fight.

ah. artists. and poets. and philosophers. oh my! the right brain people. the folks who are to bring us to us in the form of sensory bits and bytes to be contemplated. Yet so many are at best, mildly underappreciated and at worst, condemned for bringing vivid images of us to us. oh, we left-brainers are so convinced that we're rooted in reality. yet, it's the true reality that we cannot stomach.

i used to be a minotaur, then i started thinking, "what does it take to be a minotaur?" and then i thought, i am not a minotaur, i am a sherman tank. i am a sherman tank that will run right the fuck over you, whether you ask politely or not.

you know, i find that after a short period of time, i can't listen to these people anymore for they are all utterly convinced that they are all highly intelligent and terrbily interesting and they are, for the most part, bloody not. but then, i guess it's the ones that arn't very good at what they are and jsut think they are very good that are. or arnt erm, i think i got lost in that sentance. ahems. it's the ones that feel the need to bignote themselves, or martyr themselves that need smacking. the ones who spend ten years trying to convince you of their importance that bore me. there jsut seems to be a lot of that going on. ani quote, as she seems to be a running theme in my life at the moment: most people like to talk a lot including you you know there isn't much i have to say that i wouldn't rather just shut up and do
