they have been used and mistreated in history because the countries that had resources were jealous that they could dance and sing so well. they bang their drums better than anyone, they are not barbaric, just fully tuned in to the celebration of being alive.

That was awesome, the way those non-barbaric Hutus slaughtered 800,000 Tutsis. I'm sure they only did it because they didn't have access to drums and their only means of percussive instrumentation was shooting innocent men, women and children solely on the basis of heritage. What an innate gift for celebrating life. (And you gotta love those Mauretanians, whose African citizens still keep slaves.)

i think monopoly is awesome. oh yeh and one thing i forgot, if that whole sarcastic thing was implying that african people are barbaric, well it is important to note that the africans have not done anything that any other people from any other part of the world didnt commit themselves. Rwaanda is not the only instance of genocide in the world. there was one in particular that was much larger. Maybe you know which one im talking about, and slavery, well, i dont think i need to go there either, or bring up sweat shops being operated by prominent peoples. we of all guilty of a great steaming pile of bullshyt, but there is nothing wrong with looking at the good in human beings as well and admiring a group of people for their unique qualities.

Well I could guess what you are talking about but there are many such genocides. The aftermath just continues the pain, the fight and the struggle. Suffering and afflictive emotions are not coming from nowhere, our inner struggles come from our experiences and our surrounding environment and it basically reflects back and continues in a negative cycle. Most idiots can see what is wrong with communism and capitalism so why in hell doesn't someone make up a new "ism" that isn't controlling and/or selfish. The bottom line is, if people fight and kill each other rather than share and help each other no fucking system is going to work. No, I wasn't saying they are barbaric, I was saying that they were treated as if they were and yes they fight amongst themselves what nation doesn't/hasn’t? Like all the crap history of the world doesn't effect anyone, well it does it effects everyone, but most people try to put it at the back of their minds, whilst the process continues to repeat itself. Fight for "your" country... world war 3 is approaching; I wonder if there will ever be a time when the world will be at peace. I suppose a start would be for each person to be a little more compassionate towards each other, if someone killed someone close to me, I would want revenge, but it isn’t the answer is it, it isn’t going to help or change anything, it will just make it worse.

There are many cool african_people, just as there are many cool Asians and Europeans. How would a post titled the_coolness_of_European_people go over here? I'm sure a blathe titled the_coolness_of_American_people would meet with more than a little indignation.

my aunt's from Kenya and I can spend hours just listening to her stories. I want to go there with her, but the whole malaria thing gets to me. My uncle (her husband) and their son went and both got it even after vaccinations. I don't need that life-long disease deal.
