I hadn't even heard of it until last night when I got invited to go...but I knew it was British-so of course it'd be good. I sat there the entire time either wanting to cry or with this really goofy-dumb smile on my face. Everyone in the theatre had the same goofy-dumb smile...

Worse than the total agony of being in love? Nothing. So Let's go get the shit kicked out of us by love. Let me say, without hope or agenda, just because it's Christmas (and on Chritmas you tell the truth) to me, you are perfect. I did it for love, actaully.

man that movie is SO a couples' movie. i went with a couple of friends, and we sat at the back watching, the only few who weren't paired up. it's funny when i think about it, but at the time it was weird lol. :| i think that movie is designed to bug those of us who are single. still, i liked it ;)

except there was a lot of content for single people too, and for people who didn't have relationships that worked out, or had unrequited love. thats what was so good about it, was it branched on all kinds of actual love, the love between parent and child, step-parent and child, brother and sister, friends, and the most obvious one, couples and their stupid sappy banter.

true, silentbob, my sentiments precisely. Despite normally not really liking Mr Floppy-Hair Big-Grin, it was not a bad film.

i just watched this movie not with a significant other mind you, and still adored it. it made me happy, yes with that goofy dumb smile stuck on myface. it just made an addition to my list of must have qualities for my next victim of love... he must be english, as well as the other obvious one, he must like to dip his oreos in a banana to eat are you him by chance?

my fav scene is the wedding in the beginning, it's just so...radiant and happy... or the "to me...you are perfect" thing... no wait...i also love when the guy learns portuguese and does his little speech in the restaurant...made me cry. after watching it with my lesbian taiwanese friend, she said "it seems like love should be simple, but somehow it always ends up being so complicated" i thought it was pretty deep.
