Bespeckled I came to this blathe expecting to see a definition of the term "blather_stalking." Since there isn't really one, I'll give one. Ahem. In the event that a blatherskite takes it upon his/herself to "research" another blatherskite, they are participating in what has come to be known as "blather stalking." Said "research" may take a variety of forms, which include, but are not limited by, the following: 1) Clicking the name of the stalkee, and proceeding to simply read through the blathes that appear on the stalkee's list. (In this case, the stalkee will likely never know that they are being stalked.) 2.a) Reading through the blathe on the stalkee's list, and proceeding to comment on some, most, or all of them. (In this case, it is possible the stalkee may discover that they are being stalked.) 2.b) Creating new blathes, and/or commenting on existing blathes, about the stalkee him/herself, or about blathes that the stalkee has previously written. (Such as in Blown Cherry's case, as seen above.) ... (In this case, it is very likely the stalkee will discover that they are being stalked, given that they have been paying attention and are not on some kind of extended leave of absence - in which case the stalker's efforts will fade into oblivion after finding its way through the "today" and "yesterday" columns and finding itself a cold [yet not necessarily permanent] corner in the invisible yet crowded "never read anymore" cardboard box in blather's closet.) 3.) After pouring through stalkee's list of blathes, taking on a companion search for: 1) stalkee's possible lesser-know aliases, and/or 2) stalkee's "real life" identity ... which can be conducted in a variety of ways through a variety of means (such as hints dropped in stalkee's blathes alluding to stalkee's "real life" hobbies, location, phone number, email address, website, etc. Like I said, all that the term "blather_stalking" entails is not confined to this list. Blatherskites can be very inventive, and resourceful. But it should cover the basics. 030901 ... User24 ha!
